Description
Nestled just 2.5 km from the northern end of Wild Dog Road, Meadows Farm is a working beef property of rolling pasture. Also contained within its boundaries are 30 hectares of native temperate rainforest dominated by Blackwood, Myrtle Beech and Eucalypt trees together with picturesque gullies lined with tall tree ferns.
Accomodation
The comfortable self contained cottage is set in its own garden with views of the trees and gullies.
It features 2 carpeted bedrooms, one with a double bed the other has 2 single beds. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The living area has satellite TV with inbuilt DVD player, cooking facilities -a full sized stove and microwave, fridge and a wood burning stove (firewood supplied).
There is a separate shower room and a laundry.
Outside, a deck with a BBQ and outdoor setting overlooks a private garden and extensive forest views. King parrots, Rosellas, Eastern Spinebills and wild ducks are frequent visitors.
Locality
The cottage is close to all the tourist attractions of the Great 0cean Road, being only 20 minutes from Skenes Creek beach and 25 minutes from the shops, restaurants and cafes at Apollo Bay.
Forrest township with 90 km of mountain bike tracks is also only 20 minutes away. Turtons Track tourist road providing a scenic drive to Beechforest and the Otway Fly, is close by.
