"Gabby's" is a one bedroon fully self contained cottage.
It has a full kitchen and laundry, airconditioning, heating and television with DVD.Modern comfort is combined with antique furnishings. The large garden has a swimming pool and tennis court for guest use. "Springfield" is a large working farm with sheep and cattle part of the Hilltops region renowned for wine, cherries and stone fruit. "Gabby's" is $140 per couple per night.

"The Stables" is a two bedroom cottage incorporated in the original horse stables built in 1901 by the present owners great grandfather. It was extensively renovated in 2008 and has a full kitchen including cooking facilities and dishwasher. Enjoy a restful night in the elegant four poster bed. There is a separate living and dining room, air conditioning, heating and outdoor barbeque. "The Stables" is $140 per couple per nighrt and $20 per extra guest per night.

"Bill's Cottage" is a romantic stone cottage built in 1850. Enjoy cosy nights by romantic firelight in the two fires lit for your arrival. There are two bedrooms and two sitting rooms with separate televisions; great for families, a separate dining room, full kitchen and laundry facilities. In summer enjoy airconditioning and sitting on the grape vine entwined verandah. "Bill's Cottage" is $150 per night per couple and $20 per extra guest per night.

Things to do

Enjoy peaceful walks on the farm. Play tennis and swim in the pool in summer. Children enjoy seeing all the farm animals. There are sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, alpacas, a cat and a scruffy puppy called Arthur.

Young is a vibrant, bustling town. There are many great restaurants,bakeries, wineries, orchards, a distillery and a movie theatre. Young also has a heated olympic size pool operating in the summer months. The shopping is great and there are beautiful parks. The Cherry Festival, in December, is always a popular time in Young.

History

"Springfield" has been in the same family for seven generations.It is still a working farm only 8 short kilometres to the busy town of Young. The Guest Cottages are part of the original outbuildings. Two are set around the large old stone homestead. Large established trees are a feature of the property with expanses of thick green grass and flower beds."Bill's Cottage" has it's own private, fenced garden. The property is full of birds including the rare Superb Parrot.
