Description
Our 20 hectare nature reserve has beautiful trees and a plethora of flora, animals and birdlife. It's home to kangaroos, possums, bandicoots and wambengers, some of which you'll see as you stroll along our walk trails. We're just 5kms north-west of Margaret River township and within easy driving distance of beaches, wineries, caves, karri forest and numerous tourist attractions. Our 8 self-contained (2 bedroom) rammed-earth cottages each have private facilities, TV/DVD player, equipped kitchen, dining/living area and wood-fired heater (for those chilly winter evenings); and are ideal for couples, families and small groups. For your added enjoyment, we provide a "starter" breakfast, map and suggested itineraries. Then, after a busy day, you can relax in natural surroundings.
Wildlife reserve
On a recent stroll around our 1.3km perimeter, we spotted around 100 kangaroos. Some were in the distance, however there were around on our northern fence line which were between 5 and metres away. It seems that this property is one of few where you can be guaranteed to see kangaroos.
