Luxury one bedroom apartment with superb views of the River Derwent, situated 2.5 km (about 3 minutes by car) from Wrest Point Casino and only 4.5 km (about 6 mins) from Salamanca Place on Hobart's waterfront.
The decor is contemporary, with dimmer controlled up-lights in all main rooms. The kitchen is well equipped with stone bench tops and splash backs, Miele dishwasher, soft touch ceramic cook top, full sized oven, microwave and two door refrigerator.
Much of the furniture, including the dining table, dining chairs, bed head and bedside tables, has been custom made for the apartment by a local craftsman from myrtle, a beautiful Tasmanian minor species timber.
The living area has large picture windows from which you can see waves breaking on the beach only 100 metres away, watch the yachts on the river or look upstream to the Hobart docks.
Location
The unit overlooks Hobart's premier waterfront recreation area with beach, foreshore walking paths, parklands and public sports grounds within a few minutes walk. The attactive foreshore is perfect for a morning jog or an evening stroll and beach-side meal at one of the restaurants or the free electric bbqs.
The nearby shopping village has a good supermarket, pharmacy, butcher shop, bottle shop, newsagency, hairdresser, cafes, restaurants, wood-fired pizzas, doctors rooms and other services all within a few minutes walk.
The bus to the city is only a minute's walk should you not wish to take a car.

This bijou apartment is ideal for a couple or single traveller with a vehicle. Hobart is so easy to get about and central Hobart can be pretty bleak, much nicer to drive only 10 minutes to ritzy Sandy Bay! It is obvious that a great deal of care has been taken in setting up this apartment- it is tastefully furnished, has high quality linen, a lovely comfortable bed, every cooking utensil you might want...fresh herbs and a Bialetti...bliss! Add in gorgeous view across to the Derwent estuary, a quiet residential location and you cannot go wrong. In fact, the apartment was so nice and cozy to be in that I saved a fortune by not wanting to eat out- preferring instead to get provisions at the local shopping centre a few mins drive away. Highly recommend this apartment as a terrific find in the prettiest seaside suburb in Hobart. Undercover parking is a tight squeeze for anything but a small to medium passenger vehicle but on-street parking was no issue.

Very thoughtfully renovated unit with everything you need for a self-catering stay. We were very impressed with the high quality of all the utensils, appliances and furnishings. Very comfortable. The sun streams into big picture windows overlooking the Derwent River making it a very cosy little unit. Will return!!

Wonderful accommodation. The apartment had everything you could need and was in a fantastic position. Bus stop 50 mts away, a local shopping centre for all the essentials, a beach walk & the view over the river was incredible. A perfect way to start & finish a day. Many thanks to Michael for his hospitality.

A wonderful apartment, compact, but with everything you would need. A lovely spot to sit and relax, looking out onto the park and the river beyond. We would definitely recommend this property to other couples.

What a great apartment! Sunny, warm and inviting even in July. I had a relaxing 4 night stay here and can highly recommend it. Beautiful linen, everything you could need in new kitchen also walking distance to coffee shops, grocer and pizza restaurant. Most comfortable bed I've slept in for long time. Perfect for couple of 'just one'. Thanks again :-)

We had a wonderful holiday in the Riverview Apartment for two weeks. The unit is very modern and comfortable and the view of Long Beach, Lower Sandy Bay is breathtaking. Very close to the shops and only 2 mins walk to the bus stop.
The owners are very helpful and considerate. We hope to stay there again in the not too distant future.

Wonderful view. Close to transport. The fit out was of exceptional quality. It was a beautiful apartment to come home to each day. In the morning I sat and watched the yachts and kayaks over breakfast and then walked to the conference venue via the beach. The whole experience was wonderful and relaxing. The owners were very considerate, even offering me a lift on my first day when I hadn't quite got my bearings.
