Description

Located in between Rosebud and Rye, 400 metres to the bay beach and near cafes/restaurants with a bus stop right at the end of street. Sorrento and Portsea only a 10/15 minute drive away so save your money on accomodation and spend it on dining out. Property has reverse cycle airconditioning both downstairs and upstairs so it's cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Go to the auto play feature located at the top of the page to see more photos of the house as well as the fish available in the bay and local attractions. The photo with coffee cups is Coppins Cafe in Sorrento and is not the view from my beach house, my beach house does not have sea views but the sea is right at the end of the street about a 3 minute walk away.

Location

Rosebud Beach House is located on the Mornington Peninsula -approximately 1 hrs drive from the centre of Melbourne. It is at the end of a No Through Road so is lovely and quiet and because it is located in West Rosebud it avoids the hustle and bustle of Rosebud in the summer months. The Capel Sound Foreshore beach which is located only 400 metres away and nearly visible from outside the front of the house is relatively quiet and frequented mainly by locals.

Bike paths opposite the beach provide safe access for children to either Rosebud or Rye on defined trails, but you can of course cycle all the way to Sorrento or Portsea.

Cafes and Restaurants are only a 10 minute walk from the house whilst the following attractions are indicated in drive times - Rosebud Country club (3) Eagle Ridge Rosebud Public Golf course (6) Moonah Links Golf Course (9) Dunes G.C. (10) The National G.C. (15) -Arthurs Seat and chair lift (10) -Gunnamatta Ocean Beach(12) -Wineries (10-20) -Strawberry Farm (10) -National Park (10) -Sorrento Car Ferry(15)

  • "The Rosebud Beach House had everything we needed, especially when visitors called in for lunch. It was great to find all we needed close at hand. The T.V room above the garage gave my girls a place to escape, fantastic. We loved Rosebud & the surrounding areas, we hope visit again soon. "

  • "Fantastic 5 nights at a great deal over Easter :) Older style house but had everything we needed and was CLEAN! Plenty of sleeping space and spreading out space by using that fabulous room upstairs for movie viewing etc. Lovely street, our kids had great fun riding their bikes without any traffic and a straight 5 min walk to the beach at end of road was bliss. Perfect beach spot to relax and do nothing much else. Very comprehensive info sent by owner, we'll be back to this one :)"

  • "For our group of six 18 year olds this house was more than accomodated for our needs and further impressed our expectations. Although the weather wasn't the best during our stay we still managed to enjoy ourselves. Being stuck in the house during the day every now and again didn't really bother us as we were always so entertained by the living room upstairs. The house was spacious enough for us, providing us all with a comfortable sleep each night. This beach house is one in which I recommend to people of all ages, in that it seems capable of accomodating for everyone and anyone."

  • "The property was perfect for our fishing trip. It has an upstairs area for the kids to make as much noise as they want, while we stayed downstairs. It probably needs a little modern uplift, however the beds were comfy and heaps of area for the kids outside to ride bikes and not far from the beach. Loads of room for our boat and car, bikes etc"

  • "Our few days at the Rosebud Beach House were delightful. Everything we needed was available, and the house, upstairs and downstairs, was so spacious, well furnished and cosy, and close to everything. We enjoyed the magnificent scenery of the surf beaches, and the calmer waters of the bay. There is so much to see and do in the area, and we finished our break with a trip across the bay by the car ferry to Queenscliff, and then homeward to Melbourne. A delightful autumn break. "

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 8 of us. The 6 adults were comfortably accommodated. The 2 18 year olds found the floor of the upstairs lounge a better option than the very soft sofa bed in the kitchen. They called it their penthouse and were very happy with that arrangement. None of us took towels as we read take only linen to mean bed linen, so it might be helpful to others to spell that out more clearly."

  • "The house really suited us well and had everything that we needed - our family of four. It was well located for a week of absolute fun with lots to see and do. The things we loved most: walking around Point Nepean with the tunnels and forts, Sorrento, Ashcombe Maze, Sunnyridge for strawberry picking, walking around Flinders, lots of swimming at Rosebud and various other beaches, rock pool exploring, the Red Hill market, the Rosebud Circus (the kids went to that), and of course another highlight was Phillip Island with the wildlife park and the penguin parade. Excellent communication from owner. Would do it all again. "

  • "The Rosebud Beach House was an excellent place to stay! The beds are coumfy, its so close to the beach and theres plenty of room for everyone. A good sized backyard with tables, chairs and BBQ. Its a quiet and freindly area, with a bus stop jst down the end of the street. I highly recomend staying here and would most likely return sometime soon. "

  • "Rosebud Beach House was really comfortable and convenient. Close to Penninsular Spa and the Wineries and Sorrento. Snoopy was right at home in the house, she loved the cool floorboards. :) Thanks John!"
