Description

"Whitesands" named after the beautiful white sands of Blueys Beach.

PLEASE NOT WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Whitesands is located at the southern, quieter, end of Bluey's Beach. It is situated directly across the road from the beach with ocean and headland views from the living areas and unspoilt hillside views from the rear of the house.

Whitesands is a double story house featuring large open plan living spaces with tiled and stone floors and high cathedral ceilings.
In the heat of summer the house is light and bright catching the ocean breezes.
The living and dining areas open onto 2 decks that take in the views of the beach and garden and at night are lit by the Seal Rocks lighthouse.

The back deck is furnished with timber benches and rattan armchairs. Its a great spot for the afternoon sun and it also where the barbeque is.

The front deck has more timber benches and low slung 50's butterfly chairs...perfect for snoozing in.

But after a hard day on the beach it is comfort that you want and this is what sets Whitesands apart from other accommodation.
Whitesands is not just another holiday rental, it is a holiday house with real character, comfort and style. Everything that you have at home is here, whether it is a proper stock pot for cooking a great pasta, a fantastic library of books or the latest Vanity Fair, it is at your fingertips. There are several separate relaxing areas for friends or children.
The decor is an eclectic mix of 50's beach house, french provincial, crystal chandeliers, crazy artwork and quirky decorative touches, huge comfortable sofas to stretch out on and incredibly comfortable 1930's style leather club armchairs to curl up on. There is an antique french daybed to have that afternoon nap on and bean bags and butterfly chairs means theres always a comfortable seat for everyone.
On those cold winter nights, relax infront of the roaring Jetmaster fireplace and with oil radiators in all rooms, Whitesands stays warm and cosy through the cooler months.

Upstairs and downstairs each have their own tv areas which include 68cm flat screen tv's, dvd and dvd collection upstairs and vcr downstairs. CD players are also located in each area.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all utensils and crockery needed for preparing, cooking and serving light snacks through to full dinner parties. There is an electric oven and grill, gas stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer. as well as a beer fridge/freezer in the garge when you run out of room at Xmas time. Also a large gas BBQ for the freshly caught seafood (from the co-op if you aren't lucky).

Whitesands offers an amazing master bedroom with king size bed upstairs with views of the ocean and headland. The master bedroom has access to an ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe.

Downstairs is a second queen size guest bedroom with views onto the garden. There is also a rumpus with 2 single beds, a small dining setting and the home entertainment. The downstairs accommadation is serviced by a separate toilet and shower room. There is also a separate laundry with washing machine and direct access to the rear garden.

Whitesands is a fantastic beach house to make your own when on holiday. It is ideally located for you and your guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of Blueys Beach or to be used as a comfortable base for exploring the surrounding beaches, lakes and attractions.

Whatever option you choose Whitesands makes the perfect getaway.

Guest Reviews

  • "I'm torn about saying too much about this place because I don't want it to become too popular. Loads of space for families to hang out together or keep clear from each other. Unique and characterful in it's decor and doesn't lack for comfort. Not too shabby."

  • "A fresh coat of paint has done nothing to dispell the charm of this beachhouse on our second visit. Not even a week of rain spoilt our time here, the living areas are too large for cabin fever (and the dvd collection too extensive to allow boredom) and the beach is an all weather venue particularly when accompanied by a toddler. 10/10."

  • "Very nice property which was close to the beach. Kids loved it too they ran a muck downstairs and on the beach. One of the best family holidays we've ever had. Just a shame we can't control the weather"

  • "We enjoyed an really wonderful stay at Whitesands last weekend. The house is truly stunning - beautiful setting, perfect lighting, fabulous open fireplace, and so well equipped. Also pretty baby-friendly for our two toddlers. This house really is a home away from home. Next time we will be sure to stay longer. "

  • "Been there loved it and and definitely returning to Whitesands. What an amazing floor layout and attention to detail for the perfect stay. Beds were heaven and the shower was awesome. Great for the kids and privacy abound for the other couple we were with. See you again soon!"

  • "One of our most relaxing holidays, given the proxmity to the beach. Relatively child-proof for our 1 year old. Loved the deliberately funky 70's decor, echoes of our child-hoods everywhere. Everything you might need was provided, Daniel is a very generous host. 10/10."

  • "Two separate upstairs living areas were a great feature of this house. The owners have provided all possible amenities and accessories to make our holiday most enjoyable. I especially appreciated the trust placed in us to use things like the library of books and DVD's. That plus the general decor helped to make the house feel like home."

  • "A spacious and well furnished property located in a prime spot. Our daily morning walks/jogs along the beach across the road were most invigorating .Good food and wine followed by a book,DVD or CD from an impressive collection made the stay thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend. "

  • "A FABULOUS house with huge entertaining areas and an airy, breezy, beachy, holiday feel. Master Bedroom spectacular, and seventies decor a real treat. The owners have taken such care to make us feel at home - a DVD library of great classics and a wonderful book collection, an incredibly well stocked array of kitchen appliances which my chef husband enjoyed...there was something for everyone. We would love to come again."
