The perfect location for a beach holiday or to whale-watch from the house during whale migration in cooler months. This friendly and scenic beachside town is only 20 minutes north of Coffs Harbour. It has one of the best and safest patrolled surfing beaches on the NSW north coast. The views are panoramic with uninterrupted views of Woolgoolga beach, surf, township and hinterland to the west and coastal, ocean and island views to the north. This is one of the best positions in Woolgoolga with a large verandah and lounge making full use of the expansive views. SOLT overlooks the beach and park and is within an easy minutes walk to the town centre with its shops and restaurants. The Volunteer Sea Rescue is based on the adjacent beachfront. Monthly markets are held in the park next to SOLT. Everything you need in Woolgoolga is within easy walking distance.

Accomodation

SOLT has been purposely built as a holiday house and is designed for relaxation. Downstairs there are two single bedrooms and one twin bedded room.There is a bathroom and separate toilet on this level. The kitchen and dining area share 270 degree sea and beachscapes, with an adjacent lounge with DIGITAL TV/DVD/STEREO. The large balcony with barbeque is on this level as is the separate laundry leading into a private, enclosed backyard with outdoor shower. There is accomodation for two cars below the balcony. Upstairs is a private 'parents retreat'. The king sized double bedroom with ocean views, connects with a walk-thru dressing room to the ensuite. There is a separate reading room and a second lounge with another DIGITAL TV/DVD/STEREO and large slide-back window areas for views, views, views. (There are tripod mounted binoculars for whale watching from this room).Free wired or wireless broadband internet connection for your laptop, as well as free local phone calls are included.

Local Attractions

Apart from just laying back and enjoying the house, you can surf or fish, enjoy beach or headland walks, scuba dive or whale watch. Woolgoolga Lake and Woolgoolga waterfall are also worth a visit. There are multiple beaches for boardriders. There is a local hotel, RSL, Bowling Club and Golf course, shops, cafes and a local art gallery, with Lake Russell Gallery south of Woolgoolga and artists home galleries locally. On a wider radius there are all the features of Coffs Harbour with its port and fishing as well as diverse restaurants. The scenic Bellinger Valley with Dorrigo above and the beautiful Orara Valley with art and craft shops along with Nymboida and its white water rafting - all less than a one hour drive. The nearby beaches of Red Rock, Corindi, Arrawarra, Mullaway, Safety,Sandy and Emerald are well worth a visit if you can tear yourself away from SOLT. Twenty minutes drive from Solt is the Coffs Harbour Airport, which is a one hour flight from Sydney via Virgin or Qantas multiple daily flights and one hour from Brisbane via Brindabella Airlines.
