A very relaxing place to stay with lovely views and sheep to pat. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. There are eggs to collect and we walked around the property and interacted with the sheep, steers and King Billy the goat..

Had a delightful stay with our family and grandchildren. What a beatiful outlook at sunrise. All the amenities were very good, especially for a family. The grandchildren loved the sheep, especially when Kevin kept coming up to them. They also learnt to skim stones on the dam. A lovely stay and we can highly recommend it.

We had such a lovely weekend at Axedale Cottage. The setting is beautiful and a perfect location to explore nearby Bendigo and Castlemaine.
We were staying with two families and our small children. The kids loved the millions of kangaroos and cuddling the tame sheep.
The owners have thought about everything. The kitchen is very well equipped, really comfy beds, clean bathroom and cosy fire that makes the house so warm. The deck would be the perfect setting for an evening meal in the warmer weather.
This is a great find and we will be back.

What a beautiful setting! Great views, cozy wood heater, well equipped kitchen and lounge. Our toddler loved running around and visiting the chickens, geese and sheep. A lovely, relaxing cottage far enough from town but still close to everything the Bendigo and Heathcote region has to offer. Thank you!
