Description
Nine self contained lofted cabins surround a central billabong with a covered BBQ area and conference/party room. O’Carrollyn’s beautiful eco retreat is nestled in a secluded bushland setting away from the hustle and bustle of cars and people, yet minutes away from the surrounding beaches and national parks.
O'Carrollyns is set up for couples, small or large groups - perfect for a quiet weekend retreat, family reunion or wedding celebrations. We have a very large canopy which provides a covered area for outdoor activities and events, no matter what the weather. We are happy to book out all, or some, of the cabins to larger groups or individual cabins for families and couples.
Please note that our pricing as listed in the calendar is based on our Family Bungalows, not the Jacuzzi Bungalows which have the hot tubs. If you would like pricing for the Jacuzzi Bungalows, please contact us for details.
O'Carrollyns' Accommodation
All O’Carrollyns’ cabins have a large front verandah, leading into spacious open-plan lounge, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The large master bedroom (with two-way bathroom entry) is adjacent to a spacious bathroom. The upper floor loft makes exciting sleeping quarters for up to 6 children and/or adults.
Like the grounds of O’Carrollyn’s, the ground floor of each cabin is fully accessible for all. There is plenty of turning space, support ramps, and easy access from room to room.
During the warm summer nights, the verandahs are ideal for dining, enjoying a bottle of wine, or just relaxing as the sun goes down. They’re also great for those day-time picnics amongst the wildlife. There’s plenty of room between individual cabins—your well-deserved holidays are private. And there’s ample room for parking cars and boats near each cabin.
The cabins cleverly take advantage of both the sun and the shade. All cabins have fully insulated floors, walls and roof. Intelligent design keeps them naturally cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each cabin has air conditioning to maintain a preferred internal environment.
O’Carrollyn’s makes the perfect getaway in a wonderful, informal natural setting. When you’re tucked away in one of our cabins, the only sounds you will here will be the breaking surf, the wind in the trees, the carrolling of magpies, and chortling of parrots—and the occasional night-time grunts of koalas and possums. Enjoy your stay.
Weddings and Conferences
O'Carrollyns is the perfect venue for an outdoor wedding, with a large under cover area and covered stage, surrounded by established gardens including a billabong and water features. Located very close to stunning One Mile Beach and Boat Harbour, our guests can use O'Carrollyns for the ceremony, wedding and photography or make use of the beaches nearby.
O'Carrollyns is suitable for up to 120 guests and we are flexible with the desired layout of the wedding. Some choose to hold the ceremony on Twilight Bridge, others choose to marry in the gardens, or the under cover area. We can set up seating and tables, or a marquee if required.
We are happy for you or your wedding planner to decorate the areas to suit your requirements. Catering can be sourced externally and we can recommend local caterers if needed.
