Description

This is a truly wonderful house for holidays. Do you want a romantic weekend getaway for two? Perhaps you have a family who wants time to have fun together? Maybe you just want to chill on the soft, white sand? Then here is the place to do it.

"This house has everything that anyone could wish for.." said one of our guests. Come for a weekend and we guarantee you will want to stay a year. "We never want to leave!", said another.

Indulge in your own freshly prepared feast created in the 'chef's kitchen' or let the tong-masters loose on the BBQ on the back deck. Perhaps you could forget cooking and relax for the night...let Resort’s chefs indulge you at one of their restaurants.

There is a library provided with books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and videos for those nights or days when you absolutely don't want to do anything else but stay put.

Do nothing, or do a lot!

Want to do nothing of anything much? It's easy here to spend time doing absolutely nothing.

There is a library provided with books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and videos for those nights or days when you absolutely don't want to do anything else but stay put.Or...choose your daily adventure!

Spectacular views across Moreton Bay to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast make hours lazing on the deck pass in minutes. The beautiful soft white sand, right in front of the house, and the crystal clear water make lazing on the beach a must. On most days you will even see pods of dolphins swimming past.

Or you can get out and be as active as you like! ... just a short walk down the beach are "The Wrecks", a superb place to go for a snorkel or dive. You can take part in Resort activities or go sailing, canoeing, or throw caution to the wind and rent a jet-ski. You can hire a 'tinny' and some fishing lines, and chill, catching dinner right in front of the Resort; or get adventurous and go for a quad-bike ride, or try para-sailing.

If you bring your 4X4 you can drive to see the many beautiful beaches on this, the second largest sand island in the world, renowned for its great fishing. Then there's the Desert, up behind the Resort where sand-tobogganing promises thrills and spills. If it's good food you're after drive down to the south of the island to Kooringal. The Gutter Bar's award-winning Moreton Island oysters and their MSA rumps are fast becoming renowned...and if you're lucky the prawn trawlers might have been past and their fresh prawns are incomparable.

Your children can wander down to the Resort for an ice-cream, a swim in the pools, or to take part in the Resort's children's activities. If you don't feel like cooking there are always the restaurants and cafe there as well. The beach here is private, quiet and children-friendly, and has superbly clear pristine waters. In the evening you can wander with your children down to the jetty and watch National Parks & Wildlife officers hand-feed the dolphins.

During the whale migration season why not take a whale watch tour on the Resort's whale watch tour? Or take one of the Resort's daily Eco Cruises and see dolphins, dugongs and sea turtles.

Boat tours not your thing? You can take your 4X4 to the north end of the island to sit on the headland below the light-house and watch the pods of whales travelling north or south, or see dolphins or sharks swimming below you, and the many turtles which are usually swimming there.

Whether you want a quiet weekend, to go fishing, or have a fun-filled, activity-filled week, you will find it at Tangalooma and Moreton Island.

And in Coign 5, you will be able to do it in luxurious comfort.

Guest Reviews

  • "Excellent comfort and access to pubs and restaurants. Good company at Breakfast"

  • "My family and I stayed in this beautiful house and had a great holiday. The house has everything you need and the beach is almost at your feet, the Resort's swimming pools are a short walk away, and if you really have to go somewhere for a meal or a drink you can walk down to the Resort's restaurants and bars. We brought all our own food and drink with us so we didn't need to use the Resort at all so I can't comment on them. There were two families and because the house is so big it didn't feel squeezy at all. The smaller kids stayed downstairs in the big downstairs living room and watched dvds at night (there were a heap of dvds there) and the adults were upstairs, where there is another big living room and the kitchen. The adults used the two bathrooms upstairs and the kids used the downstairs bathroom. It was great. We saw dolphins swimming most days too. We want to come back next year maybe in the middle of the year so we can go on one of the Resorts whale watch tours."
