Description
Barrow Cottage is situated north along Kinglake Glenburn Road. This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom mud brick cottage is 55 minutes from Melbourne airport and approximately the same distance to the CBD. With a country style feel, the cottage has an open farm style kitchen with electric stove and slow combustion oven, dining table which seats 8, lounge room with tv,austar and fire place, outside entertainment area. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the third bedroom has one set of bunk beds two with built in wardrobes. The slate bathroom has a beautiful bath tub and shower with a separate toilet. During the months of Spring and Summer the outdoor entertainment area has a magnificent stretch of vine leaves cascading along the verandah with beautiful herbs and summer vegetables you can help yourself to. In the cooler months, you can watch the colour of the leaves turn and feed the chickens, help yourself to the winter vegetables whilst sipping on a glass of red and listening to the wonderful wildlife. Or better still, sit in front of the fireplace and soak in the atmosphere. For the more adventourous guests, take a short drive down to St. Andrews which has a wonderful market every Saturday or visit the Kinglake farmers market which is on the 4th Sunday of every month. Why not take a short drive to Rosewood Cottage situated a few minutes drive from the property and indulge in beautiful homemade scones with jam and cream, or purchase an antique or two.Take a walk along the many tracks located in the National Park or have a fish at King Parrot which is a half an hour drive from the cottage or fish the Goulburn which is within the hour of the property.
For a completely stress free arrival, cateirng can be provided at an additional cost.
