  • "We had a lovely time at the Lotuseater, it was such a central location with beautiful surrounds. "

  • "My husband & I had a much needed break at Lotuseater. We loved the ambience and feel of the cottage. We were only a 15 minute walk through the park to the cbd and free trams. We were a 1 minute walk to Unley rd which had a great variety of restaurants to choose from. We slept well in a comfy bed and no street noise! The garden setting was beautiful and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there next time we visit Adelaide. Were glad we chose lotuseater and not Glenelg. Had a day there on the tram, it was nice but preferred the neighbourhood we were in. Gorgeous old houses and quiet street."

  • "Lavishly decorated with all the little touches, you feel completely at home the moment you arrive. With all details taken care of by the owners, there is nothing to worry about on arrival except the decision whether to lounge around and relax in the cottage, or go out and explore Adelaide which is just a short walk or taxi. But in the garden of the Lotus-eater, you are well clear of the sounds of the city, and can retreat amongst the palms and flowers in your own pretty, unique space, definately a home away from home, but with an exotic holiday atmosphere!"

  • "I found the cottage very peaceful and relaxing, and so close to everything. Haigh's Chocolate Factory right on the corner of the street!!! Within walking distance of the city, but at the same time the buses were close by and the tram a short distance away. The surrounding area was also fascinating with all the old houses and quiet roads. The cottage itself was comfortable, had everything to make the place like home. I will definitely use it again when I go to Adelaide again."

  • "The Lotus Eater was the perfect home away from home holiday stay! The cottage has everything you could possibly need in it and more for self catering and a lovely garden area for relaxing. I miss the rain shower and the comfy fairy tale bed! It is really close to the City but you feel away from the hustle and bustle. It is close to lovely shops and restaurants- I walked or cycled everywhere...it's very close to the bus and tram stops too! Some days I just stayed at the cottage, as it was so peaceful and relaxing and other days went exploring Adelaide! I would definately stay there again and would highly recommend a short break or a longer stay there- I stayed for 3 weeks on my own. Am so glad I found the Lotus Eater on here and didn't stay in a souless hotel! I wish I was still there hahhaha...in fact I could live there! Book it- you will not be disappointed!"

  • "WOW - could not adequetly describe this serenity this mid city oasis provides..... walking distance to ammenities and city yet feels like you are in your own private retreat nestled in the balinese mountains. The furniture and picturesque surrounds instantly gave us the relaxing atmosphere we craved for our week get away. Privacy that no hotel could ever provide and your own bungalow provides everything we needed.. close to restaurants yet freedom to cook our own, relaxing private gardens with the only audible noise being the tranquil water features and native birds obviously drawn to the exotic gardens..... I will try to stay every trip to adelaide from here on in and wish i found this place a long time ago.... will never be staying in a hotel again :-) do yourself a favour... you will converted... promise :-)"

  • "Very quaint little cottage removed from the road in Adelaide - nice and cozy. Zen feel with gardens and private outdoor spaces."
    Bradley, June 2008

  • "Great place to stay, great location, easy to get to places. Superbly decorated, very authentic balinese theme. Great garden location makes it a very relaxing and enjoyable stay."
    Eleanor, June 2008

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Lotuseaster. It's a beautifully decorated studio that is a little haven of Balinese-style peace in the middle of the city. It's perfectly located - we rode our pushbikes around, enjoyed the restaurants and cafes nearby and our dog loved his walks in the local park. We will find it hard to stay anywhere else next time we go to Adelaide and would happily recommend it to anyone."
