The Loft House has 2 bedrooms each with queen-size beds. The loft bedroom located upstairs is huge and offers stunning views to Conjola National Park, and an excellent vantage point to view local kangaroos grazing on the neighbors field or bounding out of the bush.
The second bedroom is downstairs and looks out to the front veranda and garden. Wildlife sightings are more likely to be whip birds or water dragons.
Also downstairs is an open plan living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a large bathroom/laundry. The living area opens to front and back verandas. The back extends to a large deck and a garden, popular with crimson rosellas and king parrots.
For your comfort and enjoyment, there's reverse cycle air conditioning, a Weber Q barbecue, outdoor furniture, HD TV, a blu-ray/DVD/CD player, games, books, DVDs, electric blankets, heaters, sun umbrellas and a hammock.
A single mattress is available for a 5th guest.
Less than 3 hours from Sydney and Canberra, the Loft House is located on the edge of Fishermans Paradise village at the head of Lake Conjola on the NSW South Coast.
The Loft House is perfectly set up for both long holidays and short breaks. Relax in the peace and tranquility of Fishermans Paradise or experience magnificent beaches, bush walks, fishing, boating, surfing, kayaking, shopping, dining or 4 wheel driving.
Our favorite places include:
Lake Conjola for fishing, water skiing, canoeing/kayaking, swimming, beach and bush walks. Great bird watching too. The boat ramp described by locals as 'the best on the lake' is just 200 meters from the Loft House. Boats and kayaks are available for hire from Lake Conjola Entrance, 10 mins by car or boat.
The historic village of Milton (circa 1860) with boutique shops, art galleries, markets, cafes, restaurants and an historic theater is also just 10 mins drive from the Loft House.
Mollymook and Ulladulla are another 5 mins down the road with their pristine beaches, 9 and 18 hole golf courses, clubs, cinemas, shops and restaurants, including Rick Stein's Bannisters. There's a guided fossil walk at Ulladulla or you can explore self-guided.
Jervis Bay is 30 mins drive and has organised whale and dolphin watching cruises. Jervis Bay also hosts Hyams Beach with the 'finest and whitest sand in the world' according to The Guinness Book of Records.
Pigeon House Mountain (Didhol). It is a 4-hour return hike to 720 meters and well worth it for spectacular 360-degree views and the work out!
Bendelong has great beaches, lots of shady bush and resident kangaroos and stingrays. Bendalong is possibly one of the world's best kept secrets - a gorgeous place.
For local surf breaks check out Green Island, Bendelong, Mollymook and Bawley Point to name a few.
There's lots of great restaurants nearby and the kitchen is well equipped if you feel like cooking at home.
Food and groceries
There's 2 shops (including a liquor store) at Lake Conjola, 10 mins away and both also sell fish and chips.
There's no shop at Fishermans Paradise but Milton (10 mins) and Ulladulla (15) both have supermarkets.
There's lovely boutique delicatessens in both Milton and Ulladulla and for seafood, we recommend Lucky's fish shop in Ulladulla - Rick Stein does too.
Pie-lovers are spoilt for choice with the Rainbow Pie Shop in Milton and Hayden's pies in Ulladulla.
For fresh fruit and vege from the grower, a local farmer delivers to Fishermans Paradise on Saturdays. There's also markets nearby every weekend and more frequently in the high season.
