Waratah Cottage, executive holiday cottage in the heart of Katoomba village, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, antique shops and art galleries as well as being within easy walking distance to the World Heritage listed Echo Point.

The property is luxuriously appointed with granite bench tops in the fully equipped kitchen, travertine marble bathroom flooring with a deep rectangular spa, wood burning fire for cosy winter evenings, beautiful furnishings, original art works and crisp white linen and towels supplied.

The cottage is totally self contained and compact, ideal for one to two couples or small families, with a beautiful sun drenched hard wood deck complete with built in BBQ for dining or simply star gazing.

This original miners cottage built in the late 1890's has been lovingly restored with special details, such as heart stamped bricks, dating back to 1840 and wonderful dry stone walls feature in the superbly crafted exotic mountain garden, boasting cherries, camellias, cypress and maples.

Simply laze in the cottage on a winter day by the fire, lie under the cherry tree on a spring/summer afternoon on the superbly crafted wrap around seat with a pillow, cup of tea/glass of wine and one of the many magazines and books from the cottage library.

This cottage is so easy to inhabit you won't want to leave its welcoming, warm surrounds.

  • "Dear Phillip and Tracey, we finally had a break, what a lovely place we chose! We have left our 4 children at home and brought our best friend, Dean, who has come all the way from England. I Admired your use of colour and home comforts - Truly beautiful. The cottage is filled interesting soul cleansing nic-nacs and you garden is lovely too! Martin, Dean and I felt instantly welcomed into your warm and welcoming cottage. Reading a book, watching a movie, having a quiet drink in the peace- absolute bliss. Being so close to everything, whilst still being a very private home made our break so easy. Thank you Kelly and Martin Dundon"
