Nestled in the foothills of the Myall Range in the Watagans, this gorgeous loft is
full of creative character and is ideal for your own escape to the country or as a
comfortable base for visiting all that is available in the Hunter Valley.
Wedge-tail Loft consists of a sleeping, sitting and kitchen area. It has a bathroom
with a unique view and there is an outdoor area with a barbecue. There is a king
sized double bed, or two singles for twin share if you prefer. Fold out beds can be
added for up to 2 children. The kitchen is fully equipped and the Loft has a TV/DVD
and CD player with an iPod dock.
With the unique and charmingly rustic ambience, an ample supply of books and
some games on hand you will be forgiven for not wanting to leave and explore the
Hunter Valley and the nearby Watagan Forest and Wollombi historic village.
Wedge-tail Loft is pet friendly. However, please be aware that there are free range
chickens as well as cattle, horses and kangaroos on the property. The wild birds,
including king parrots, galahs and kookaburras are a beautiful feature of Wedge-
tail Loft. Lucky guests can watch the wedge-tails spiralling above the picturesque
paddocks and over the tree covered hills.
All linen and towels are provided for your stay along with tea and coffee. Pre-
ordered meals are available.
Wedge-tail Loft overlooks the stable yard, henhouse and the substantial orchard on Red Belly Farm. Guests are welcome to pick the fruit in season and many herbs are available on request.
Set on 35 acres, Red Belly Farm boasts its own 9 hole occasional golf course. Never will you find a course so rustic and unusual. Two holes near the Loft are permanently available for guests who would like to hit a few golf balls for fun. It is a 20 minute drive to the local golf courses such as Stonebridge, Cypress Lakes, Hunter Valley and The Vintage.
For a taste of country life at its best Wedge-tail Loft is the place to stay.
All this and only 50 minutes from Newcastle and 1.5 hours from Sydney.

Wedge-tail Loft is down a quiet country road just 15 kilometres south of Cessnock. This places you no more than 20 kilometres to the local wineries of Pokolbin, Lovedale and Mount View. Wollombi & Watagan State Forest are just a short drive away also making this the perfect location in which to base your self for a weekend, week or month long visit to the Hunter.
