Welcome to The Happy Frog…
Here you will find comfort, convenience and care, along with lots of fun and relaxation.
Our holiday home is styled in the old-fashioned way having being built in the late 70's. We're not the flashest place around, but everything is clean and you'll find we offer value for money in a great location.
We're just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous Warnbro Sound beach, and we have a big, grassy back yard. This is a great place to spend the days wandering along the beach; swimming, snorkelling and fishing - and then relaxing out the back of the house with a good book in the sunshine.
At night, enjoy a home cooked meal sitting out on the verandah, or venture out to any number of close-by cafes, restaurants and pubs. Best of all, you can look forward to lying in bed at night, listening to the waves on the nearby beach. Bliss!
We reckon this place is perfect for family breaks, romantic get-aways, or some great fun with mates over the weekend. We invite you to make it into your own ideal holiday haven…
Dogs are very welcome. Of course! Just make sure you bring the bedding required, because they'll have to sleep outside.
There's also room to park a boat or caravan.
Plus, we're eco-friendly!
Payment is by bank-transfer and we take $200 bond - add $50 if you're planning to bring a dog or two.
Warnbro is an outlying suburb of Perth; about 4o minutes drive from the city. Not so long ago, this was an old-fashioned fishing and holiday spot. If you're lucky enough to spend some time in this lovely corner of the world, you'll find that this atmosphere remains.
The Happy Frog is located in the older part of Warnbro, so you'll find beach access literally a five minute walk from the front door, pretty much right in the middle of beautiful Warnbro Sound. The Sound is a protected and peaceful part of the local coastline that's renowned for safe swimming, gentle waves and dolphin sightings galore. Fishing from the beach in the early mornings or at night is pretty good, too. We've supplied a couple of kids fishing rods so that you can have a go at catching herring from the beach, or one of the nearby jetties. Sunrises and sunsets are both very special, and at least one of each should be enjoyed during your stay!
Nearby you'll find other coastal attractions, including Penguin and Seal Islands, Point Peron, and Safety Bay. The Rockingham foreshore is also well worth a stroll. The entire area really is the “aquatic playground” it's so often described as. Activities include sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing, sea kayaking, fishing and lots more.
We're also surrounded by many great places to shop, eat and be entertained. You'll be spoiled for choice, and there might not be time to try everything…!
The city of Perth and the areas surrounding it also have many charms. They are far too numerous to name here. The city centre is easily reached via car, bus or train. The trip will take between 40 minutes to an hour. From Perth itself, opportunities to explore abound.
