Description
A two-bedroom character cottage with modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry/toilet, set in lovely gardens, only two minutes walk to Bonnie Vale beach. Retaining all the charm of its fishing shack origins, the cottage has been maintained and updated sympathetically to offer a nostalgic weekend or holiday stay. Dine inside beside the wood fire in winter, or take in the water views on the outdoor deck in summer. The property includes an established garden of native and ornamental plants, and is fenced so that pets can be accommodated securely.
Features you will enjoy inside Anglers Rest
The cottage has two bedrooms, both with double beds. The comfortable lounge/dining room/kitchen area has a dining table and kauri buffet with plentiful glassware and tableware. Polished floorboards, carpet and rugs, original artworks and books line the walls, and a new wood heater (wood supplied) can be operated as an open fire or enclosed heater. Overhead fans keep the cottage cool in summer. The owners, keen cooks, have supplied the kitchen with a full range of cooking equipment, for guests who would prefer to self cater.
Plenty to enjoy outdoors too!
The north-facing deck, overlooking the established garden and Simpson's Bay, has a large teak table, outdoor dining chairs and easy chairs. Birds such as kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets & king parrots are regular visitors - although they are not very friendly when dogs are in residence. Facilities away from the cottage include dining at the RSL for modern bistro food or the Bowls Club for Chinese - both a short walk away. Bonnie Vale beach is a two minute walk and coffee shops, groceries and drinks are a 15 minute walk to either Bundeena or Maianbar villages, or a 5 minute walk to the convenience store at the Bundeena Service Station. The Royal National Park backs onto the property, and coastal walks are within easy reach - park the car and do not use it again until you leave!

Prices
A 50% deposit will be required to hold a booking. Note pricing is not based on a per person basis, but is for the rental of the property which can sleep a maximum of four. Linen package: sheets and two bath towels per room, if required. Single nights may be available for midweek - please enquire.
