Just a short drive north you can be on the sandy, patrolled beach front of Balgal Beach soaking in the sun and the pure ocean front views 'The Beach House' has to offer.
A character filled former miner's cottage that was relocated to the shoreline over 60 years ago, the home has been renovated to ensure your family has a comfortable stay whether here for one night or ten.
Floor to ceiling louvres across the front and down one entire side of the home allow the ocean and island views and breezes to flow in.
All floors upstairs are solid timber and the kitchen and all appliances have all been replaced. The property has one bathroom and separate tiolet downstairs and a toilet powder room upstairs.
The upstairs consists of one bedroom, in the centre of the house, a double bunk in a side alcove (sectioned off by floor to ceiling curtains) and a single bed towards the front of the house by the louvres. The dining and kitchen are located to the left of the central bedroom and powder room, alcove and living area located to the right.
There is no airconditioning to the upstairs of the house . However, there are plenty of pedistal fans to keep you cool. An internal staircase will lead to downstairs where there is the bathroom another toilet and the laundry facilities, there is another curtained off area with 7 beds to accommodate larger/extended families. This area is airconditioned.
The property is approximately 100m from the sealed boat ramp and the 'Landing' cafe/restaurant and is diagonally opposite the stinger enclosure during the summer months so not far to take the kids for a dip.
The Beach House Policies
- Maximum of 14 guests and never more than 6 adults (unless specifically approved in writing by the owners)
- Minimum 2 night stay
- No smoking
- No pets (large or small)
- No parties or weddings - never more than 8 adults allowed in the premises at one time
- Noise to be kept to a level that is consistent with a residential area.
- Bond of $500 is taken one week before check-in date. Bond is fully refundable within 14 days of check-out provided The Beach House Policies have not been breached and there has been no damage to the house, its gardens or its contents.
- Principle renter must be over 30 years old and provide a scan of their drivers licence with final payment.
