Description
Fingal Head is a beautiful destination for a very special holiday for all. Located just 10 minutes south of Coolangatta Airport, an hour from Brisbane and 30 minutes from Byron Bay makes travelling there a breeze.
The coastal town of Kingscliff with its cafe/restaurants, clubs, shops, markets and cinema are just 5 minutes away and make for great activities and outings whilst you enjoy your stay. Their are also 2 local golf courses.
Fingal Head itself is located on a coastal spit between the popular Tweed River and Dreamtime and Fingal beaches. Fingal Break is located right on the Tweed River with Wommin Lake and Dreamtime beach behind. Both are within walking distance. Mt. Warning can be seen from the river bank and is a great destination during your stay.
The headland of Fingal Head is an amazing spot to visit with its Lighthouse, the Giants Causeway made of spectacular hexagonal basalt columns and views to Cook Island. Whales and dolphins are regular visitors and make for a truly unique experience.
About Fingal Break
Fingal Break is a newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house located right on the Tweed River. This is the first time it has been made available to the holiday market. No expense or attention to detail has been overlooked in presenting this property for holiday makers.
Able to sleep up to 15 people if required (groups over 10 require approval) it is suitable for both one or two families. The rumpus has been converted to sleep 5 and with its own lounge, TV/DVD and bathroom makes for a great kids retreat. The other 3 bedrooms are set up with 2 queen beds and one room has 2 sets of double bunks.
Please note listed prices are for stays of up to 10 people. Additional people above 10 (max 15 with approval) are charged at an extra $10 per night per person to cover additional expenses such as linen, bedding, towels etc.
The main bedroom with views of the river has a walk in robe and ensuite including shower and spa overlooking the private atrium. It also includes a 46" plasma TV and DVD player. The other queen room also has a TV/DVD player and overlooks the pool.
A modern fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes preparing those holiday meals whilst enjoying the water views a pleasure. The second bathroom consists of shower, vanity and toilet. The laundry is fully equipped and includes a drier.
The sunken lounge overlooking the pool and fully landscaped tropical gardens has a 50" plasma TV, DVD, CD, surround sound and Austar. The house is fully air-conditioned and has ceiling fans throughout.
A main feature of Fingal Break is the front deck overlooking the river, gardens and pond and the large rear entertaining deck. The rear deck is equipped with a gourmet BBQ, bar, lounge, 8 seater table/chairs, heaters and overlooks the fully fenced stunning saltwater pool with rock waterfall and tropical landscaped gardens with night lighting. The surf can be heard from the back deck as you enjoy your surrounds.
Please note - Fingal Head is a quiet residential community and this is part of its appeal. This property and area is not suitable for excessive or late noise/parties etc. and strict observance to reasonable times/noise levels must be observed to respect the neighbours. The location is more suitable for family style bookings and bookings of large numbers may need to pay an additional security deposit. Whilst pets are welcome with prior approval, dogs that have a tendency to bark, especially at night or when left alone are not suitable. Previous bookings have unfortunately made this information required. Any concerns please ask.
Extras at Fingal Break
To make your stay as enjoyable and hassle free as possible the property boasts extras that set it apart from the usual houses available.
All bed linen, bath and pool towels are supplied as is starter supplies of tea/coffee/sugar, detergents and bathroom products. Standard sauces, cooking oil/spray, salt/pepper, paper towels, clingwrap/alfoil and bin bags are stocked to make things just that little easier.
A large 3 seater canoe (with trolley) and lifejackets is available for you to enjoy on the river or lake, surfboards, boogie boards, fishing rods and pool toys also are here to use. As is an outdoor shower.
For toddlers a stroller, highchair, walker, play mat and port-a-cot are available and make packing etc so much easier.
Their is plenty of car, boat/caravan room and the Fingal boat ramp to access the Tweed River or for outside fishing etc is located just minutes away. As is a park with swings and BBQ's.
A walking/cycling track is located opposite the house along the river and 4 adult bikes and 2 child bikes with helmets are available also to use.
Outside pets are welcome with approval and the backyard is fully fenced and the rear deck fully covered. A large kennel is also onsite.
