The Walsh Cottage is located in the small historic town of Taralga in New South Wales, Australia.

Taralga is only about 2.5 hours drive from Sydney and about 1.5 hours drive from Canberra. Taralga is situated very close to Goulburn and Wombeyan Caves. There are plenty of tourist activities to do and attractions around the area. Walsh Cottage is a great accomdation closer to Goulburn and Canberra.

Walsh Cottage is a self-contained three bed room cottage which can accommodate up to 6 people. Walsh Cottage is located in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by small vineyards and historic buildings. The Cottage is only minutes walk to the centre of the town and two blocks from the Taralga Showground.

Walsh Cottage is ideal for romantic getaways and for family holidays.

The Cottage

The Walsh Cottage has three bedrooms, a lounge, a dining area, a self-contained kitchen, one toilet, two showers, and a little veranda at the back. The property has a spacious back yard which overlooks the vineyards.

The cottage is equipped with the following:

DVD player

There are two queen beds and two single beds which sleeps 6 people comfortably. Linen and towels are provided for the stay.

Tourist attractions

Taralga
There are plenty of places to see in Taralga. Taralga has several historically significant buildings through out the town dating back to mid 1800s. The gold rush in the 1860s brought lots of new migrants to Taralga but now only few hundreds people live in the town.

The unique and persevered historic buildings in Taralga are quiet a treat and sure to take you back to the 1800s. The Historical Society’s Museum in the town showcases the history of Taralga through various artefacts and photos. The Museum is open for visitors on the weekends.

There is a golf course and a tennis court nearby to the cottage as well.

There is a market on the second Saturday of the month which brings back true country atmosphere.

Wombeyan Caves
Wombeyan Caves is only 1 hour drive from the Walsh Cottage. Wombeyan Caves is famous for cave tours, camping, hiking, canyoning, tennis and swimming. It is also an ideal place for bird watching and photography.

Goulburn
Goulburn is about 30 minutes drive from Taralga. There are plenty of activities for every ages in Goulburn.

Canberra
Canberra is about 1.5 hours from Taralga for people wanting to visit Canberra. Canberra offers heaps of activities for the whole family to cover in a day.
