Currarong is located on the Beecroft Peninsula, the northern headland of Jervis Bay. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Sydney, 1.5 hours from Wollongong and approx. 3 hours from Canberra. There are many bushwalks that can be taken directly from the house. Visit Jervis Bay National Park, Honeymoon Bay or explore historic Point Perpendicular lighthouse. At your doorstep is sheltered Abrahams Bosom and Warrain beaches.
For the boating enthusiasts there is a new dual access boat ramp located close by which provides access to some fantastic fishing spots. Other water sports available include kayaking, rock exploring, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and surfing.
Dolphins can be seen from the front verandah throughout the year and occasionally whales which frequent the south coast waters between May and November. Children will enjoy watching the kangaroos feed on the grass in the morning hours from the front verandah.
A local convenience store, cafe & fish & chip shop is only a 5 minute stroll away. There is a Woolworths supermarket & bottle shop in Culburra which is just 18kms away and at Nowra you will find Stocklands which houses the major stores. Callala Bay has an IGA, Butcher, bakery, bottle shop and pharmacy.
Tennis courts located just a block away are available for hire and there is also a skate park. Bring your pushbikes - Currarong is a great place for bike riding either on the beach, on the many tracks through the national parks or even around the quiet streets.
Currarong also has a Bowling Club with an ATM Machine and a Chinese restaurant. The Club offers limited entertainment during the holiday seasons.
GOLF
Enjoy a game of golf at Callala RSL Country Club, Nowra Golf Club or Vincentia Golf Club, all located just a short drive away.
DINING OUT
If you feel like a night out there's a couple of local choices:
Zac’s Place: This BYO fish café is located by the beach only a 5 minute stroll from the house. The service is great and the setting relaxed.
The Butter Factory: Is located in Pyree just 20 minutes away and serves modern Australian food with an emphasis on fresh produce. Fully licenced and bookings essential.
Mill Café: Is also located at Pyree
Callala RSL Club: The Sea Dragon Restaurant serves Chinese & Thai meals.
Currarong Bowling Club: The Bistro serves chinese meals.
ACCOMMODATION
Recently renovated this light filled family home has a spacious lounge/dining area, separate dining/cards/games table and a large kitchen with two coffee machines and is well equipped to cater for a number of budding master chefs.
The living areas opening onto the elevated terrace which spans the width of the house with outdoor setting overlooking the ocean and rock pool. The house features polished floorboards, ceiling fans and a combustion fire place to warm you during the winter months.
There are 3 bedrooms (sleeping up to 8 people maximum). The Main features a Queen Bed, Built in Robe, TV/DVD and an Ensuite. The second Bedroom features a queen size bed and a Built in Robe. The Third Bedroom has two sets of single bunk beds, a Built in Robe and a TV/DVD combo unit.
The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area which overlooks the ocean has all the comforts of home including a flat screen TV, CD & DVD player with surround sound. There is a 3 burner gas BBQ with wok on the rear verandah. There are two internal bathrooms and a laundry with washing machine, iron & ironing board.
There is also a covered verandah at the rear of the property which overlooks the large backyard where you can enjoy protection from the afternoon sea breeze and to enjoy alfresco dining all year round. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around and an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach.
PET FRIENDLY
Pets will be accepted upon request. We do ask that they be kept outside - there is a large fully fenced rear yard, 2 undercover verandahs and plenty of shady spots for him/her to relax. The local beaches are also pet friendly. Conditions and refundable bond may apply.

This house has the best location in Currarong, overlooking the rockpool with fabulous sunsets.It is beutifully furnished and the kitchen well stocked, especailly if you are a coffe lover There are also a great selection of board games and dvd's, The whole family had a wonderful stay.

This house was so good I'm conflicted about telling anybody. I want to keep it for my friends and amity. The location itself is as good as it gets. The house is spacious and lovely, super comfortable with loads of couches, lounge chairs, tables to eat, play cards.The balcony entices you to sit with a coffee and watch the water turn 12 different colours in a day.
If you are lucky you will see dolphins. Heaven

Our stay at Comfort on the Rocks was incredibly relaxing. The local area of Currarong is very quiet and peaceful. The waterfront location of Comfort on the Rocks is a perfect setting for a quiet family holiday. There is ample space for the kids to play out the front on the grass reserve and very safe swimming is available just metres away in the rock pool. Just a few metres further around the corner is Abraham's Bosom beach which is safe with very small waves and is perfect for kids, there is also a small river which trickles into the beach for the younger ones to play in. The house itself was fully equipped and very comfortable. All cooking appliances were great. The house has a fantastic layout with loads of space, the lounge room is huge. There is also plenty of board games available for entertainment at night. The outdoor shower is nice and refreshing after a day at the beach. The house is also fitted with a washing machine and dryer if the weather isn't great. Our stay was perfect and we are already thinking about our next stay. I would strongly recommend COTR. The photos on the website do not do the place justice. I would rate the house 10/10 for features, location and safety for kids. Get there, you won't be disappointed.

Comfort on the Rocks is a fantastic holiday home - located in one of the best spots in Currarong.
We had an excellent week there - enjoyed the spacious living area, spent loads of time on the front porch looking out over the water, and cooked lots of great meals on the gas BBQ or in the well equipped kitchen.
We'll be back...

A wonderful holiday house - perfect for a family - not too precious, but with everything you could possibly need, and perfectly located opposite great rock pool and next to gorgeous Bosom Beach.
Great garage with spare fridge, outside shower and loo. Currarong is the best!!

A fabulous house for a winter weekend with friends. Lots of swimming, walking and mucking around with the kids. The house is well set up for cooking and we enjoyed a weekend of monopoly and movies by the fire. It was even warm enough to swim in the rockpool!

Comfort on the Rocks is well named. It is everything a holiday home should be. Located at Currarong's focal point, The Rock Pool with the beaches and bush just a stone's throw away. My family and I would thoroughly recommend Comfort on the Rocks to anyone who wants a beautifully appointed holiday home in a perfect location. We enjoyed uninterrupted views of the ever changing ocean from the covered verandah at Christmas, sipping champagne and eating the local seafood - what more could you ask for!

Comfort On The Rocks is the perfect holiday rental property. The location is absolutely sensational...we felt like those beautiful, crystal clear rock pools were in our front yard. Everything we needed and more was provided. We loved the big kitchen filled with lots of cooking equipment and the coffee machine was a hit! My kids thought they were in heaven when they discovered the TV/DVD player in their room! Lots of DVD's to watch and we were spoilt for choice with the board game selection. We'll be back!
