A Barn in the Barossa's heritage
A Barn in the Barossa was built in the 1890's as a coach house and feed storage. The copper mining boom of the 1890's left behind a wealth of historic and majestic buildings and churches built from the locally quarried bluestone. The slate stoop at the the entrances comes from Mintaro and was added later when the barn was renovated to become a home and artist studio for owner Jacqueline Coates.
The Barn is surrounded by a productive garden of fruit flowers and vegetables.
Kapunda is set amid rolling hills of cropping land and vineyards. There are many beautiful walks around Kapunda.
