Description
This great 3 bedroom house is located in a quiet part of Venus Bay close to beach 5. Set on stilts the elevation provides a wonderful feeling of sitting in the tree tops and allows for glimpes of Anderson Inlet from the house and large decked area.
Comfortable open plan lounge, dining and kitchen comes complete with all mod cons. Including automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, stereo with ipod dock, LCD TV with DVD player (and USB input), split system heating and cooling. The kitchen set up will make the cook in the family happy - with plenty of utensils and servingware, plus juicer, food processer and a good selection of pots/pans.
Two of the bedrooms offer queen beds both with direct access to the deck and the views beyond and the third, a bunkbed and cot. One bathroom with toilet, shower and hip bath is located in the house with a second shower, toilet and laundry facilities available downstairs (accessed from backyard) providing the perfect place to wash off after a beach adventure.
The large north facing deck catches the afternoon sun and provides outdoor seating for 6, plus a 5 burner bbq and outdoor heater. Relax in the lovely hanging pod chair - just perfect for taking time out to watch the treetops and enjoy the birdsong. The secluded back garden below offers a shady alternative on hot summer days and more outdoor seating areas.
Laze the afternoon away (books, magazines and board games available) or enjoy a stroll to one of the close by attractions - beach 5, fishing jetty and playground all within walking distance.
Parking for 2 cars is available inside property fence (no garage/undercover parking).
Please bring your own linen (sheets, pillowcases and bath/beach towels). Doonas with covers, pillows and teatowels supplied.
Venus Bay and surrounds
2 hours drive from Melbourne lies the secluded beach side town of Venus Bay. Offering a petrolled swimming beach over summer (beach 1) and a small selection of shops including general store, cafe and a few takeaways, it is the perfect location for a get away any time of year.
Great fishing close by. Wet a line at the beach, inlet or river. Abundant wildlife throughout the Cape Liptrap Coastal Reserve, kangaroo watching from the Anderson Inlet viewing platform, even the potential for a glimpe of migrating whales from the beach during winter.
If you are after some rejuvenation during your stay, Venus Bay has a day spa which is located 5mins drive away and offers a wonderful array of massage and holistic therapies.

*A pub with outdoor deck in Tarwin offers meals and live music less than 10 minute drive away (shuttle service available in summer months).
*Inverloch offers a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes - approx 20 mins drive away.
*There are also many wonderful little towns to explore within 30-40mins drive including Kongwak, Meeniyan, Koonwarra and Fish Creek.
*Plus a number of wineries, galleries and produce/craft markets in surrounding areas.
*The more adventurous may like to ride the Great Southern Rail Trail bike track or take a hike in the majestic Wilsons Promontory.
