One of the joys of visiting Melbourne is discovering the hidden gems down our lanes, streets and back alleys. Subtitled hip, handy & hidden, a stay at the City Warehouse is the start of your Melbourne adventure.

Unique in character, this original 100 year old red brick warehouse has been converted into an edgy industrial living space yet still retains the building's beautiful old character including a soaring ceiling held up by huge oregon beams and trusses, industrial windows, light fittings and polished hardwood floors.

Perfectly located in the heart of all the action just off Clarendon St Southbank/South Melbourne and less than a 10 minute walk to Melbourne's city centre.

The City Warehouse blends the old, the new, the industrial and the recycled. Consisting of a large open plan space incorporating the living area, kitchen/dining and a main bedroom with queen bed sectioned off from this large open plan the living space with custom built panelling.

The lounge room to the front of the warehouse has large 55' LCD TV and DVD player. The living area is stylishly furnished and includes a 2.5 seater sofa lounge which converts to a very comfortable high quality innersprung double bed to accommodate an additional 2 guests.

At the rear is a separate bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. A stainless steel kitchen along with Vintage Victorian railway lockers salvaged from Spencer Street station serve as pantry and industrial tressel table as a unique dining table. Skylights throughout the warehouse flood the property with lots of lovely natural light.

The City Warehouse is perfectly located for those exhibiting at the Melbourne Exhibtion & Convention Centre. A 2 minute walk to the Convention centre and the added bonus of loads of space within the building to securely store your products over the duration of the show make it the perfect stay for exhibitors.

  • "We loved this property. A really fantastic place to stay and I can assure you it���s in a location that you would struggle to beat. The centre of Melbourne is a short walk away and just outside the front door are all the restaurants and shopping of Southbank and South Melbourne. I was sceptical about sleeping on a sofa bed but don���t let that put you off I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was. The open plan nature of the property combined with its groovy industrial fit-out made you feel as though you were in someone���s very cool home and not a rented accommodation stay. If you���re after a really interesting place to stay and in a prime location then I would highly recommend a stay at the City Warehouse."
