Barossa Shiraz Estate has evolved with the history of the Barossa. The 1840s homestead, originally a Cobb and Co stage coach, has been developed into two stunning private and self contained cottages, The Residence and The Willows.

Described in Vine and Orchards of South Australia (1920s), “the view from the veranda is very beautiful, looking west, north, and east, over valleys and hills, and vineyards and orchards, and the picturesque scenery is of a type of which one would never tire.”

A sensitive blend of history and luxury, has transformed the homestead to one of the finest B&Bs in South Australia.

The WILLOWS:

Willows, circa 1847, is a luxury, romantic and fully self-contained vineyard cottage. It provides a taste of Barossa history and the surrounding vineyard offers a glorious vantage point from where you can enjoy views across the Barossa to the Ranges beyond. This stunning property combines the charm of its past with the comfort of modern convenience, pressed metal ceilings, timber floors, fine furnishings, modern kitchen facilities, barbeque, Outdoor settings, veranda, open fire in winter, r/c air conditioning, a beautiful lounge, LCD TV, CD/DVD units and free hire in-house DVDs. Quality guest amenities and hair dryer provided.

WILLOWS BEDROOM & BATHROOMS SPECIFICATIONS:

Featuring 3 bedrooms & 2 ensuites (one with a stunning spa bath for 2 with ceiling shower and views into the Barossa vineyards).

Bedroom 1: has an antique brass queen bed, electric blanket, an ensuite with stunning spa bath overlooking the vineyard, and a ceiling shower.

Bedroom 2: has two single beds convertible to king size with windows overlooking the vineyard.

Bedroom 3: Featuring heritage slanted ceiling has a brass queen bed, electric blanket, an ensuite with spacious glass frame shower.

EXTRA GUESTS:

Willows accommodates 2-6 People. Advertised rates are for one couple only, extra adult guest is $95 each per night, children 3-12 is $50 each per night, 0-2 is $25 each per night with access to porta cot.

COMPLEMENTARY FOOD & DRINK PROVISIONS:

A bottle of Estate's wine, a decanter of port, Bedside chocolates & welcoming afternoon tea on arrival. Full provisions for self-catering breakfast for the duration of your stay including: eggs, gourmet bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, a selection of cereals, fresh local bread, orange juice, low fat milk, a selection of jams, butter, plunger coffee, instant coffee, fine assortment of teas, and biscuits.

EXTRAS:
Gourmet regional food platters, Barossa wine tours, flowers, and in-room massage can be arranged at extra cost on request received at least 7 days to your arrival. Restaurant bookings can also be arranged.

Location

The cottages are located on Six Gates vineyard, Lot 294 Barossa Valley Way, Lyndoch.

If traveling via town of Gawler: Drive 13km from T-junction of Murray Street and Barossa Valley Way from Gawler towards Lyndoch and look for the Six Gates sign on the right.

If traveling via town of Lyndoch: Drive 1.7km from the junction of Gilbert Street and Barossa Valley Way in Lyndoch towards Gawler and look for the Six Gates sign on the left.

Ample parking is available off street, with some shaded areas.
