About Blackheath

The highest town in the Blue Mountains, Blackheath was named for its charred appearance by Governor Macquarie. Lookouts, bushwalks, stunning scenery, as well as blooming rhododendrons and azaleas in the spring, Blackheath is absolutely gorgeous. A little over an hour from Sydney, Blackheath occasionally experiences snow in winter and has more than mild summers in comparison to the surrounding area.
