Description

The Trocadero provides the serenity of mountain life and so close to to the attractions of a vibrant and friendly country village. It is easy walking distance to hatted restaurants, cosy pubs, great shopping, beautiful views and many outdoor activities.

Completely renovated in 2011, The Trocadero gives you an experience only available to the wealthy in the Mountains heyday of the 1930's.

Top quality french and art deco furnishings fill the home. Luxurious beds, furnishings and spacious bedrooms provide the ultimate in comfort. Two lounges and two dining areas give groups the opportunity to chat, watch movies, play games or just relax and enjoy the view.

Come in spring when the heritage protected cherry trees and rhododendrons are in bloom, in summer which is cool like a Sydney spring, in autumn where the many liquidambers in the street turn brilliant oranges and reds and attract artists and photographers, or snuggle up in front of the three warm fires in romantic winter.

The Trocadero - Luxury French Art Deco is rated 4.4167 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Trocadero is a delightful place to spend a few days while enjoying all the Blue Mountains has to offer. The charming art deco feel takes you back to a more elegant time, but with all the mod cons to make your stay comfortable. Lovely outdoor eating area and the stone cottage is a lovely surprise. Close to a the visitors centre and the magnificent views at Govett's Leap, and even closer to a yummy bakery and the antiques at the Victory Theatre. Great hosts - a pleasure to deal with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A few minutes to a bakery for wonderful homemade pies and cakes etc, a few more minutes walk to the main street with a good variety of shops and pubs and a few more minutes walk to the train for those without transport. Comfy beds and room to move - great yard for the kids and in a quiet area. I would return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Staying at the Trocadero with its art deco furnishings was fun. It was very conveniently situated offering a short walk to Blackheath township with its irisistible shops (great shoes and clothes), bakery (in the same street as the house), pub and the best Italian restaurant ever. It was also easy to visit the excellent information centre and access the wealth of stunning walks. All in all, a great place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for letting your lovely house to us. It is a very nicely appointed house, and we had a great time. If I might make a suggestion about your web page on stayz? Prior to us arriving, we had no idea what was in the studio -- we knew a studio was there, but didn't know how nice it was nor what size it was. Might it be worth putting a sentence or two on the web page saying that it's a fully self-contained flat with a queen-sized bed and luxurious bath?
