Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely property, with beautiful views from the sunroom. Very homely place with tv, piano and books and videos for those wanting to stay in. Those wanting to go out and about aren't forgotten either, fantastic comfy beds for a great nights sleep, a stones throw to the Katoomba township to go on tours and an excellent hot shower after a long day canyoning :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We thought the property was basically perfect. The location was ideal, the building is beautiful, and the view from the sunroom off the sitting room is spectacular. Especially when we were up at 5am to catch the train back to Sydney - the sky was all pink and orange and purpley - gorgeous. There were only two of us as a couple, however the property was plenty big enough for two couples. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, all amenities were just what was needed, and the fire and heater in the living room perfect to make the place cosy when you return in the evening. Given the cost of the weekend versus other similar accommodations in the area that we looked at, we felt it was excellent value for money. furthermore, we were advised from the beginning that, as we were arriving early Saturday morning, if no one else had booked the property on Friday night we could check in any time for free. The other property we were thinking of booking wouldnt consider this even with no Friday night guest booking and wanted to charge us what was a considerable fee to check in 2 hours early on Saturday. All in all, great property, great location and wonderful customer service from the owners - highly reccommended and would have no hesitation in staying there again if we do go back for another trip. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had a lovely weekend at Loxley Retreat. This character property has been beautifully renovated and the heating was more than adequate to keep the winter blues at bay. Love the sun room for lazy mornings and the kitchen was well appointed (though a microwave would be nice or did I not find it?). Liza
