AMAZING. Ignore the negative reviews.
My family and I stayed here in January 2014, and this property is utterly stunning. We visit holiday properties quite often, so we have standards and let me tell you- this place is just wow. It is a bit of a maze (which is a treat for any holiday houser because it makes the property more exciting), the bedrooms are all quite far apart which gives everyone a lot of much-desired privacy, it has a large open kitchen, has unique and impressive decor, is very spacious, is very clean, is quite secluded, and has a gorgeous garden. The property even has a touch of mystery (there's an interesting "vibe" in the upstairs rooms). Also, our four-legged family member was also welcome which made it a home away from home. We would love to return.

well maintained property with country ambience
we had a family reunion there and the accomodation for inlaws and immediate family consisted of 8 adults and two children was extremely adequate. we were able to cook all our meals with all facilities provided.we would recommend!

The property was disappointing as it was very noisy--highway & train line next door.
No fly screens so we shared our stay with flies, mosquitoes, blowflies etc.
The bedrooms had no blinds or curtains in them, therefore we rose when the sun did.Not what we planned for our weekend.

There is an initial wow factor to start with, but very quickly the negatives began to add up. The impressive looking commercial refrigerator had shelves that were starting to rust. The temperature struggled to get below 10 degrees celsius, and never below 5 where it should have been. Luckily for the owner there was a thermometer, so we did not have to use it for perishable items. In defence of this criticism, there was another small refrigerator in the pantry, but it was inadequate for our needs. There was a slow combustion stove, but there was no wood, except for a small amount of kindling at the side of the house that someone had obviously collected from the garden. The TV in the main room did not work because the aerial connection was missing. The temperature control for the gas fire in the lounge did not work. In defence, the gas heater in the kitchen / family room was very good. There was not enough glasswear and cutlery for a house that sleeps 10 people. There was no bathroom soap, which really should be supplied for the money being charged.
The house has spectacular views, but unfortunately it is very close to the main highway and railway line, where truck noise, both going uphill and downhill and especially goods trains travelling downhill is disruptive to sleep, especially in the main first floor bedroom.
The water from the shower in the main upstairs bathroom unfortunately ran all over the floor and down the tiled entrance steps. It is a pity because the bathroom is spectacular. The smaller en-suite bathroom upstairs also had problems with water running out of the shower recess and across the floor. Furthermore, its description as being gorgeous is a bit over the top. The downstairs bathroom was adequate.
In conclusion, Chez Gaile is getting tired and could do a lot better. However, in spite of the above, it comfortably accommodated us for the weekend.

Lovely large home
Chez Gaile is a lovely house in the lower part of Wentworth Falls. Great for large families, or two families, with 2 bedrooms downstairs and 3 upstairs. There are also two separate sitting areas inside the house, and one outside.
The home has lovely views, but is above the highway so there can be a bit of noise (it didn't really bother us).
The fridge in the kitchen was out of order when we stayed, and we had to use a smallish old fridge in the laundry. It would be good if they put a new fridge in the kitchen, as the bar fridges in the rooms are not so convenient.
The property manager was excellent to deal with, and helped us retrieve a very important item we had left behind - kudos!
We would certainly return.
