Known and treasured for thousands of years as a meeting place by the original peoples, Wollombi later became a stopping place on the Great North Road, built by convicts in the 1830s and used by early settlers. Explore the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail and talk to the Boutique wine growers at the cellar doors. Enjoy a relaxed stroll around the historic village and visit the remarkably preserved general store. Stay for a weekend or longer in local accommodation, which ranges from a 5 star guest house in the village to a cabin in the bush.

    Wollombi Markets

    Wollombi Markets are held on the Monday of each Long Weekend in January, Easter, June and October with proceeds going to local community groups and causes. The markets attract a huge range of stallholders featuring antiques, tools, food and local fresh produce, clothing, cosmetics and household wares.

    Held the third Sunday of every month, at the Old Northern Trading Post in Laguna, from 9:30am to 1pm. From fresh locally grown fruit, vegies and eggs, to native plants and local arts and crafts, there is something for everyone.

Throughout the year, Anzac Reserve is perfect for a picnic or bird-watching.
