Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional! This was the best weekend away we've ever had! The cottage had everything we needed, super clean and tidy, bright and airy and very peaceful. Beautiful surroundings, short walk to beach, extraordinarily friendly owners who were very prompt, attentive and accommodating. Will be coming back again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coalcliff fabulousness! This miner's cottage has everything;  all the amenities you would expect plus a stunning location under the Coalcliff bluff, a sea view from the balcony, 5 minutes walk to the patrolled (in summer) beach with also has a sea pool to swim in if the ocean's too rough. It's a quiet neighbourhood in a small suburb due to the geography. With bush views and abundant wildlife this really is a special place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a treasure! Our family of adults spent a wonderful week here. In need of rest and relaxation we had everything - enjoying one of the most invigorating sea pool swims ever just a short walk away, spent hours on the deck taking in the amazing sounds and sights and spread ourselves comfortably throughout the spacious and homely old house. Perfect, and we will be back. An absolute gem!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Find Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful week we had in Coastal Cottage. My three adult children and I spent a truly relaxing and enjoyable week, swimming daily in the sea pool.  It was the perfect location to recuperate and celebrate, and we will definitely be back. What an amazing location!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfectly located oasis, nestled between the forest & the ocean. A peaceful creek is literally at the bottom of the garden with colourful flora, water dragons(lizards) & prolific bird life. Stock the larder and fridge and you need to go nowhere beyond the deck with amazing views of all of the above! Or stroll just 50 metres to the beach and swimming baths. Nearby villages with shops & cafes are a short & scenic drive away or accessible by train, with railway station within short walking distance. The larger cities of Sydney & Wollongong are an easy day trip away. The house is older style & perhaps a bit tired in some areas, but it is spacious & clean & has everything you need to be comfortable. I revived after a stressful year. I can imagine it as a great family beach house stay too. It definitely has the happy vibes of many relaxing holidays. I have already paid up for a return visit next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just wanted to say thankyou for sharing your piece of paradise. The housewas warm, inviting and relaxing. The location was amazing!! There was enough room for the youngest to watch his DVD's at one end of the house, while the teenager occupied himself with the other TV room (thats when he wasnt out exploring the creek that runs through the yard and watching the Water Dragons)! Beach is literally footsteps away. The whole backdrop was breathtaking & dramatic. We will definitely return at some stage in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was Humble and Very Comfortable accommodation in the most beautiful location. Terrific mountain views and close proximity to one of the most beautiful Beaches in Australia, saw me arrive and not leave until it was time to check out. Everything you need is at this little miners cottage - one of the original style homes at Coalcliff (with its history as a Coal Miners Village - which is becoming so much more in recent times). This Accomidation had a most beautiful recently fitted out kitchen and sunroom area , that encourages you to have the most Relaxing and inspiring Coastal/ Country Getaway. I escaped the Hustle and Bustle and zoned right out here. Other creature comforts (if I wanted them ) were available in the surrounding Villages which were just a stone throw away along the beautiful costal route, including the Sea Cliff Bridge . I went for a personal escape and I did not feel alone in my 3 day stay at all - I was so content in this cottage I didnt want to leave.
