You have the 150 acres to yourself and it is close to great attractions. The farm has friendly Boer goats, alpacas and small Irish Dexter cattle. There are 340 million year old fossils to collect. The terrain is mostly flat country and a creek flows 1km along one boundary. Take nature walks and see the wildlife - especially birds, wallabies, & goannas.

The house is a small four bedroom cottage with a large covered veranda. It has a bath/shower, separate toilet and ensuite in the main bedroom. There is a well equipped kitchen- gas cooktop and oven, dishwasher. The lounge room has a comfy leather lounge, is reverse cycled air conditioned as is one of the bedrooms. There are polished floorboards and ceiling fans throughout. One bedroom has a Queen size bed, one has a Queen bed, the other two rooms have two single beds each. There is also a trundle with mattresses to give flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. The house is surrounded by a nice garden in the twp acre house paddock.

The house has internet broadband.

You will find books & magazines to read, two TVs and DVD/VCR, Xbox, Wii (some games but bring your own) , gas and wood BBQs and a phone for local calls.
There is a table-tennis table, cricket gear swing set and a trampoline.

Pets are very welcome but normally must stay out of the house. The "house paddock" is well fenced to keep most dogs in and the undercover veranda will protect them in bad weather.

Our insurance company has advised that we cannot be insured if you want to ride trail bikes, so sorry but these are not allowed.

It is located about 2.5 hours drive north of northern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. From Sydney follow the F3 freeway north to Bulahdelah. The farm is only 10 mins drive from the town of Bulahdelah and only 5 mins from the Pacific Highway.

Fingal Farm has solar panels and exports "green" electricity to the electricity grid.

If Fingal Farm is booked out when you want it, then have a look at Fingal Beachhouse instead. (

The calendar is always up to date and the detailed tariffs for the whole year are shown on this website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning 'away from it all' retreat I can not praise Fingal Farm highly enough (and my only fear in doing so, is that it will be booked out when I next want to return...which is soon). My 7 year old daughter, 10 year old Labrador and have just spent an amazing 3 days at the farm and had to tear ourselves away when it was time to leave. The peace and quiet, the gentle animals, the open space and the beautiful farm house are all faultless and Rob and Lucille really have thought of everything to make you (and any four legged friend you might bring) feel at home and comfortable. The house itself is large and could easily accommodate a couple of sharing families but was equally cosy with just the two of us. We were blessed with perfect weather which meant daily trips to the stunning nearby beaches and balmy evenings back at the farm with the animals. My daughter loved the responsibility of being 'gate girl' manning the two gates to the property which must be opened and shut to drive through, as well as playing ping pong on the verandah. On day 1 back at work, on the strength of my photos, my boss is already looking to book a family trip to Fingal Farm. Loved, loved, loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rustic Property Our family recently stayed here, and had a great time. From the dog to the grandpop, it was a great place to have family time. It had everything needed and the ideal place for outdoor living. Sorry about the balls! The dog took a definite liking to them, but thankfully the visiting neighbour's dog entertained for a diversion from balls. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals, and loved the lily pad dam. Thanks for a sharing such a great property.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great property to relax We really enjoyed our stay on the farm. Our sons were busy feeding the animals, exploring fossils in the quarry and playing with the neighbour's friendly dog. We got a chance to sit back, have a cuppa, listen to the birds and enjoy the lovely eucalyptus bush smell. We had a great weekend! The only thing needing some TLC is the kids outdoor equipment.
