We could not have been happier with out stay at the beautiful Verandah! The perfect antidote for a stressed out family of five. From the minute we opened the doors we felt completely relaxed within this aesthetic and tranquil haven... Would highly recommend to anyone - minutes to the beach and a bit of retail therapy if you need it close by in the Brunswick Heads village. A local resident was happy to lease out bikes at a reasonable rate for the entire family. Ralph was particularly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We serenaded to the serenity and it was a holiday we will never forget!

We had a wonderful time at The Verandah. The house would suit people whose idea of luxury is a verdant tropical garden, close proximity to excellent beaches, and a house with a spacious homey feeling. It is a short walk to South Golden Beach, which is just so beautiful, especially at dusk. Also only fifteen minutes walk along the beach to New Brighton, which has shady dunes and a good cafe. It was so quite during our two week stay in early December, which was a nice change from many holiday destinations. The neighbourhood is very family friendly. Like the other reviewers, we felt that the house felt more like a family home than a sterile holiday house. The beds were a bit hard for my liking, but that is the only negative and the positive aspects of the house and location more than made up for this (I grabbed a soft foamy from the kids room). The place is a real find and I will certainly return at the next opportunity. I might add that Ralph was terrific, really helpful and returned emails promptly.

Our reason for visiting the area was to attend a wedding on the Saturday, so we didn't get as much time as we would have liked to spend in the house or explore the area. But it is such a lovely location, and we certainly did walk down to the beach each day.Our 3yr old grandson was SO excited to sleep in the room with the bunks and doll house. And he loved the bath! Thanks again for the lovely house and being on hand to answer all our enquiries. We hope we can visit again another time, and stay much longer!

Big ups to Ralph McMillan for his help in putting this weekend-away together for us.
The Verandah exceeded all expectations and our dog loved being able to come with us on holidays.
