Two stunning pools - one 30cm deep for toddlers and reclining adults, with reading bays cut into the steps. This spills down to a 20 metre lap pool. The deck around the pools is golden sandstone. You can watch the kids play in the pool from the kitchen and dining table. Surrounded by deck chairs and large umbrellas.
Five air conditioned bedrooms. Each of the two main bedrooms has a king-size double bed, and room for two singles, and overall there are four bathrooms.
The home is beautifully furnished, with a plush 6m long lounge, deck chairs and a gorgeous daybed on the main bedroom's verandah.
You'll hear the surf at night from your bed, and the beach is a stone's throw over a track through the sand dunes to one of the world's top 100 rated right-hand point breaks with safe swimming at the protected southern point.

Location - Broken Head
The stretch of beach to the immediate south of the Byron Bay Lighthouse ends at its south point, the tiny settlement of Broken Head, where there will only ever be 17 houses. From the beach you can only see one building, the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Ignore that and you could be transported back 1000 years.
Mostly untouched rainforest, Broken Head is a magical spot positioned only a few minutes from the heart of Byron Bay and boasts a beach with a legendary point break. The beach break is perfect for beginners, and local surf schools often choose to give their students their first wave in the family friendly shallows of the beach. Over the summer months the beach is patrolled by lifeguards.
Dolphins and whales are a common sight in the ocean out front. Two of the most deserted and beautiful beaches in the shire, Brays and Kings, are found by walking up Seven Mile Beach road and down tracks through the rainforest. The road begins right outside our front gate.

I took my daughters and three of their friends to Barefoot for a week in the July school holidays. There is so much space to get some peace and quiet even with six teenagers! The owner's local knowledge had us riding horses on Lennox Head Beach and booked into the the kid-friendly restaurants around town before cozy nights in front of The Voice. The bikes at low tide are really something. A beautifully kept house and a wonderful beach - I may have to make an annual pilgrimage I think. Thanks Tim and Fran.

We chose Barefoot at Broken Head for our recent Ceremony and reception for 5 days lead up and post wedding, and what a perfect choice. The tranquil and well thought through layout allowed our extended family the ability to stay onsite with us but never once felt underfoot, there was so much space for everyone. From our arrival we were met by the house manager, who welcomed us so warmly and ensured we knew everything the house had to offer - it was the little things that make Barefoot special, the ice bag in the freezer, coffee pods for the espresso machine, the heating already on in the rooms, the whole house felt like home, albeit a luxury one.
The services provided to us on our wedding day were above and beyond, we went without nothing and did not have to ask for anything, a stress free day which was unexpected. The beach is amazing and the private access path is a lovely touch. Cleanliness was faultless, Barefoot is a enormous property and to have the gardens manicured perfectly through to the bathrooms sparkling is no mean feet.
An exceptional property for a private wedding or if you have the inclination to live like a millionaire or movie star for the week, we will definitely return, hopefully in the summer this time to reminisce over the magical week that was.

Magnificent location for an extended family catch up. We stayed for my mother's 70th birthday. Four gorgeous pavillions means we all got our own private luxury at my favourite location on the east coast. The free concierge looked after us every step of the way. And the surf was good too! Planning to book for next year.

This has to be the most spectacular surf shack in Australia! Four couples, four kids, a great right hander, heaps of space, brilliant communal kitchen, huge TV for movie nights, peace and privacy, concierge on call, beautifully maintained. The owner very professional... booking next year...

We had our wedding here. We first checked it out late last year and felt so comfortable and relaxed. We also met Frances and it was pretty much because of how she made us feel that we decided to have our wedding here over anywhere else. Wedding day she exceeded our expectations, and the property suited us and our style to a tee. We had all our fur babies (from 2 families) with us too and was easy for them being such a spaced out property. It was simply amazing, you just can't help but relax when you're here. We would call it Modern Beach House. The only downside for us was that we couldn't stay longer!
