Great to stay for a weekend
Great place to stay near Talbingo rever. Property was clean and all the facilities were available. But need to replace the outdoor seating chair's cover and couch/ sofa.
Place is very far from Perisher valley, about 2.5 hour drive.

We have stayed 8 properties in Talbingo and found this "holiday home" our best yet. Clean and tidy , comfortable furniture and beds , great inclusions a true "Gem"
If we had the cash we would buy it ! . Fantastic mountain outlook , we will be back.
With the added bonus of wheelchair friendly access and bathroom if we where ever to need it. We loved our time at this cottage.

It was a great cottage to stay during winter. I found it very cozy and warm due to the fireplace. There was also beautiful scenery all around and loved the wide green space at the back perfect for bush walking. The rooms were well maintained and the kitchen was pretty good. It was also a reasonable distance from the snowfield. It was pretty good for the price.

Talbingo Accessible cottage my experience
Firstly I must say thankyou, this was our first time in the Snowy Mountains and it was one of the most memorable and beautiful places and experiences I've had in a long time. The surroundings were great and the views were breath taking. The natural wildlife vertually in the back yard like, georgous red and green parrots, emu, kangaroos on your door step you can touch, not to mension the wild brumbies further up the Snowy Mountain Hwy.
The Talbingo club, convenience store and ski hire shop are about a 10 minute walk from the cottage. The staff in the ski hire store were more than helpful and informative in regards to the weather conditions and very reasonably priced with the ski gear and accesories. Big thanks
My Recomendations :If you don't mind driving to Mt Selwyn Ski Resort, it's only about a 60 minuite drive or less, from Talbingo, weather permitting, you will experience spectacular scenic views of the abundent snow covered fields, mountains and lakes along the Snowy Mountains Hwy. Stopping at Cabramurra, just about 10 or so km away from Mt Selwyn, we visited the highest town and postoffice in Austtralia. The resort itself was covered in snow and the kids took advantage with their tobbogins for a couple of hours. On to Mt Selwyn. Never had I expected to see white mountains as far as the eyes could see. spectacular. Remember this being our first trip to the snow.
My Recomendations: for kids, and adults of all age groups, great for first timers/beginners as well. We asked our kids for a brief summery of their experience and it was unanimus,They had such a great experience, didn't want to leave. Having so much fun, they asked if they could come back every year.
I would highly recomend this cottage to anyone who loves the outdoors and snow as much as we do now. This cottage was everything I expected it would be after being told it was accessible, from the woodfire heating to the comfortable beds that were the perfect hight. The ramp going strait up into the cottage via one of the bedrooms, a little difficult for a high level quadraplegics with motorised wheelchairs, though by moving some of the furnature around not a problem. Nevertheless, you have to be a bit adventureous in an environments like this, just get out there and give it a go, you will love the experience.
