EUROBODALLA REGIONAL BOTANIC GARDENS
The Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens feature a range of magnificent displays of native flora of the South Coast and adjacent ranges. There are walking tracks through native gardens and natural forests that ensure a delightful experience for all who visit.
Self-guided walks can take from 20 minutes to 1 hour. Most paths are level or gently sloping and the disabled walking track has recently opened.
About 120 species of birds have been recorded at the gardens, and there is always something flowering.
The Chefs Cap Café serves light lunches, morning and afternoon teas and specialises in homebaked cakes, biscuits and scones. |

Long Beach
Just a couple of minutes north of the Batemans Bay bridge, is the very quiet beach of Long Beach. The southern end of the beach is "dog friendly". The beach itself is a very sedate location and not all that well populated. This is a major attraction of the beach- not too many users, vehicles etc. It is indeed a very well kept secret. There are many beachside accommodation places which are very reasonably priced. The headlands north and south of the beach, also provide quite extensive views and easy walks. Plenty of wildlife sightings / visitations are common - Wallabies and Kangaroos laze around very commonly. Long Beach is close enough to "The Bay" but far enough to be "heaven". |
