Description

Bantam Cottage is a lovely 100 year old, pet friendly cottage and is the ideal house to make your home for a few days. The cafes, restaurants and wonderful shops of Berry are only a leisurely two minute stroll around the corner.

The heart of the cottage is the sitting room which has a beautiful open fire, laid and just ready to light in winter. It is a cozy place to laze in front of with candles and a bottle of red wine or toast marshmallows with the kids.

There are beautiful polished timber floors throughout scattered with rugs for warmth. The kitchen has an oven, stove, all the utensils needed, and a range of basic pantry items are supplied.

The two bedrooms have queen beds which are made up with fresh linen and bedding and have electric blankets. Soft fluffy towels are also supplied. A single inflatable mattress is available if required.

The toilet and bathroom are separate with the bathroom having an easily accessible shower but no bath.

The front verandah looks out over the town to the hills behind and is a lovely place to watch the world go by while at the rear of the house is a large deck overlooking farmland and a quiet rural scene. This catches the morning sun and is a peaceful place to enjoy a morning tea or coffee.

Pets are welcome in the house and the back yard is fully fenced and secure with large shade trees.

Directly across the road is the wonderful Berry Sourdough Bakery with its delicious food, coffee and wood fired breads.
The wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants are only around the corner and 2 minutes walk away.

Gabby's reception centre is also only a two minute stroll down the road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous property in a great location My husband and I stayed at the Bantam Cottage during the June long weekend with our little Cavoodle puppy and it was such a pleasant stay. The house is well furnished, clean, cosy and in a very convenient location across the road from Berry's famous Sourdough Bakery. Will definitely stay here again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There are fruit trees This little cottage impressed me the moment I saw the front gate, it may or may not have partly been due to the lovely mango tree hanging over the front lawn. The whole place has a quiet charm about it, even a little unusual. What impressed me the most was the option of bringing my dogs to a yard with apple and mandarin trees, which they thoroughly enjoyed sniffing and moving about, while we watched from the balcony.... Reading back on this, I swear I am not being paid :) That is all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Cottage - Great Location! We recently stayed at Bantam cottage for two nights over the Xmas period. We were 2 adult couples and 2 pooches and had loads of room. The cottage has everything you need and is nicely decorated,  fans in the bedrooms kept the heat at bay and the cottage would also be great in winter with a cozy fireplace and sitting room. The kitchen is small but we managed to have breakfasts and lunches and as we were out for dinners it didn't hamper us at all. There is a lovely back garden and our two pooches enjoyed the space to romp around. The deck is roomy and has a BBQ so I'm sure that if we were home for dinners we would have used the BBQ and deck. We will definitely be staying again, the cottage is really very cute and comfortable and close to the Berry high street so a perfect location for everything Berry has to offer. Janet the owner is very quick and efficient with responses and made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised this was a perfect little cottage to bring the family dog to. Our dog loved running around in the garden. What was most enjoyable about the stay, however, was the careful consideration which had gone into the decor which gave the place a light and airy yet rustic feel. Plenty of milk and tea bags were also provided so we could share a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. For people who are planing to visit with a dog, the nearest off-leash area is not fenced and I recommend a trip down to Culburra Beach where we had a wonderful afternoon.
