Beautifully intimate for a couple, yet spacious enough for five, Hattie's Beach House is surrounded by mature native trees and plenty of bird life. You'll know you're on holiday as soon as you arrive. It's less than a 5-min stroll to the fine white sands and pristine surf of Sth Broulee beach (patrolled Oct thru Apr, when the water is still beautiful!). Polished limed floor boards throughout and some retro furniture with groovy French striped canvas upholstery lend extra style to this very relaxed beach house. Perfect for one or two couples, or even a family of up to five (if two of the kids are happy to share a double bed!).

Light and bright with north-facing back garden. Whales @ Broulee in season!

Fall asleep to the gentle sound of the ocean and wake to birdsong in the garden outside your bedroom window. Treat yourself to a sleep-in, then breakfast in the delicious morning sun which streams in. Kick back on the deck and take in the relaxed vibe of the garden. Breathe in the revitalising seaside air and soak up the unhurried village atmosphere. The human battery really gets recharged at Hattie's.

You might even spot a whale or two - they sometimes spend time showing off at Broulee during their migratory season from late August to November.

There's wonderful cross-ventilation to keep you cool in summer and fan-boosted heating for snug winters. Nearby is Candlagan Creek, Broulee's tidal lagoon protected from the sea, with perfect swimming for young children. A second toilet & shower downstairs in the laundry is really handy, especially after the beach. A second TV in the main bedroom should help resolve any programme conflicts. And screens on all windows and doors ensure all uninvited guests remain outside!

Hattie's has two bedrooms, both with leafy outlooks: generous main bedroom with a queen-sized bed, 2nd bedroom with a trio bunk (double below, single above). The kitchen has views through the trees and is fully equipped (dishwasher and coffee machine of course!). The funky 70's dining table seats six. Or you may prefer to eat at the more casual outdoor setting downstairs, overlooking the back garden near the gas barbeque. The local Muffin Shop is great for breakfast or lunch (they do much more than just muffins). A real dining surprise in Moruya, just a 10-min drive away, is The River, which we're told is one of the couple of restaurants between Wollongong and Victoria to have been awarded a Hat in the SMH Good Food Guide. You'll find some DVDs and light holiday reading at the house and a folder of local information we've put together to help you enjoy your stay.

Would you like us to provide bed linen & bath towels instead of schlepping them yourself?

We provide pillows, doonas, mattress & pillow protectors and a tea towel as standard.

For an additional $20/person we can save you a considerable schlepp by providing 100%% cotton bed linen and bath towels, as well as the convenience of making up the beds for your arrival. Please let us know at the time of enquiry so we can include this in your quote. Then all you need to bring is your beach towels. And your fishing rods - nearby beach and river fishing are both promising!

Hattie's Beach House at Broulee is rated 4.7083 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate getaway Broulee for surfing + Hattie's for laid-back living = a hedonist's delight. We've been living overseas for 30+ years and visiting Hattie's recently was like stepping back in time to the Oz of old. Unique, unspoilt & unpretentious, Hattie's is the ultimate getaway. We'll be back...... and this time, we won't wait 30 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hattie's a excellent place to unwind Climb the stairs and open the door and you are drawn into this lovely beach house. The vibe is relaxed and its not hard to do when everything is at hand, sit on the verandah (chair supplied) with a cuppa and catch the sea breeze or take a short stroll to the beach. Our stay at Hattie's gave us time to unwind and we will be going back.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you would have in your own home. (no food of course)The bed linen and towels are top quality. The property is very clean. Great veranda beautiful sea breeze. Excellent fridge. There is even a little torch near the key safe, just in case you cannot see the numbers. We have used Stayz a number of times, and this property is one of the best. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recently had a wonderful stay at Hattie's. It is the quintessential Australian beach house. Went down for my partner's birthday with another couple. It's in a great location, very clean, and has all the kitchen supplies to cook a full birthday meal! Extremely well managed booking process, and very responsive to all questions and requests. Definitely will stay again, in fact I've already booked the next trip!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We stayed at Hattie's Beach House over the Anzac Day long weekend and loved it. Our two year old loved having a bunk bed in her room and to this day hasn't stopped talking about staying at 'the beach house'. We had our baby with us as well and all four of us had a very restful stay. The location is excellent and it was lovely to wander down to the beach to play in the sand. One day we had a lovely stroll up to the Mossy Point muffin shop, which we really enjoyed. The beach house is small but well loved, with all the essentials (including a coffee machine!). It really helped us wind down and take the time to relax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We loved this house and only wished we had stayed longer. Broulee is beautiful quiet spot, the snorkelling is fabulous and there is even a yoga studio! The house is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. The only thing I think it needs is a bean bag for the kids to veg out in.
