"Had a delightful stay at Nuns - swimming each day, bush walking, beach walking etc etc. Cooked up a storm and did reiki and played scrabble around the fire. Loving your continued renovations – it is so light and bright – gorgeous. I’ll be back again and again". Ingrid, June 2015
"Thank you for sharing your beautiful, serene palace with us. We will definitely be back". Brett & Kaz, June 2015
"Great place to stay. There was a group of seven of us and the house was great with lots of bedrooms and space. We were able to cook up a feast while enjoying the view. It was so close to the beach we could wander back and forth several times during the day". Celia, March 2015
"Great location. We had a relaxing stay. Great location and we had everything we needed. It was a quiet and private area away from traffic and town noise. Short driving distances to shops. There was a great variety in beaches and walks short drives from the property. While we like going to different places around the country I think we just might return to this one", Megan, March 2015
"A comfortable place to stay, a gorgeous view, and 2 wonderful beaches within close walking distance: what more could you want? We had never been to this area before and wished we had more time to explore it. A few days was not enough. It is incredibly beautiful and interesting. The house has lovely views straight out onto the beach and nearby coves. There are no shops nearby but this is part of its attraction. 15 minutes drive to Bateman's Bay or about 20 minutes to Moruya means that excellent food can be brought in easily. More basic shopping can be done nearby". Lesley, Feb 2015
"What a beautiful property. Incredible views, stunning living conditions, and only minutes walk from the beach. Jackie made the process exceptionally easy for us to rent nun's beach house and we had just the perfect weekend away. So much so we decided to stay on. Thanks Jackie, we hope to return to this great find in our favourite location". Alex, Dec 2014.
"Our group had a fabulous long weekend stay. Amazing views, right on the beach surrounded by beautiful bushland. House was comfy, plenty of bathrooms for a larger group, ample space in the kitchen and lounge". Ella, Nov 2014
"My partner and I spent 3 nights here. Such a beautiful property with incredible views overlooking Nuns beach from the lounge room. It’s also only a short drive down the road to Moruya and about 20 mins to Batemans Bay. A great location for a romantic, getaway".Karen, Nov 2014
"Thank you for sharing your magnificent house with us. We loved it soooooooo much.
An idyllic location, quiet and peaceful surrounded by gorgeous gardens and bushland beyond. The ocean and coastal views are outstanding from the newly renovated lounge/dining/kitchen and from the balcony and master bedroom and ensuite. Combined with the sound of the waves rolling in this beach house is just wonderful". Ingrid, September 2014.
"Thank you for having our group at Nun's Beach House this weekend - we had a wonderful time and even saw dolphins from the lounge room!" Helen, September 2014
"We really enjoyed the fantastic location and lovely property". Sue, September 2014
"We have arrived back at home and wanted to thank you for the lovely house stay. A very relaxing and well maintained house, well done. We saw whales every day and a seal around on the point". Mihkel, July 2104
"Thanks for our lovely holiday at Nuns Beach House. We had a fantastic visit and a great catch up, thank you. The space and views are wonderful". Renee, July 2014
"The renovation work you have done is amazing, we loved the big, bright open-plan living area with its expansive views. It was only when we looked again at the online photographs that we realised what a difference you have made to that part of the house. The well-stocked new kitchen provided all the equipment we needed along with plenty of workspace. The new heater was great keeping us warm and cosy when the southerly wind blew up. The easy access from the house to both Nuns Beach and South Rosedale Beach was really handy. saw dolphins when walking along the beach. The large living room windows afforded us all a view of the pods of whales we spotted over the weekend. We had a marvellous weekend. Nuns Beach House was perfect for our group of friends to relax and socialise". Dee & Harry, June 2014
The location is quite unique, the view simply stunning. Any time of year. Nuns Beach House is a large, comfortable house perched just above the pristine, golden sands and turquoise waters of Nuns beach - a secluded cove flanked by wooded headlands, 15 minutes south of Batemans Bay in South Rosedale. There are 2 gorgeous sandy beaches (Nuns and South Rosedale) within a couple of minutes' walk of the house down bush tracks and another small bay (Tranquil Bay) just 5 minutes' beyond Nuns beach.
The house was recently renovated upstairs and now boasts a large, light, bright open plan kitchen/dining/lounge room with stunning feature fireplace, limed timber floor boards, brand new kitchen with breakfast bar, Fisher & Paykel appliances and flat screen Sony TV. The gorgeous ocean, beach, bush and coastal views are now visible from the entire open plan area. You can even see Burrewarra lighthouse in the distance. It's almost incomparable.
The house is situated on a narrow bushy laneway leading to a headland and is surrounded by its own native garden with no immediate neighbours. We are not overlooked and we don't overlook any other house. It's very non-suburban, quiet and private without feeling isolated. You really feel like you're in you own private, beachy oasis!
Nuns Beach House comprises 2 separate areas. Please note, there are no internal stairs. You may rent just upstairs, or upstairs and downstairs (you will never share Nuns with another party if you rent upstairs only).
There are 3-4 bedrooms upstairs, sleeping a maximum of 8 people and 2 bedrooms downstairs, sleeping a maximum of 6. The main living areas are upstairs.
Nuns provides comfortable, self-contained accommodation for 2 or 3 families or a group of friends holidaying together. You may choose to split your group between the top and bottom parts of the house, but Nuns Beach House sleeps a maximum of 12 IN TOTAL. It is most comfortable and suitable for groups up to 6 adults and 6 children.
Please note that we do not usually rent the house to large groups of young adults and no parties of any kind are permitted. Regrettably, Nuns Beach House is not suitable for dogs.
