I have to be brutally honest and say the property has a lot of faults. Linen was supplied however it was not clean. One teatowel and one bath towel pp is not sufficient for a week. No bathmat/handtowel in bathroom. The amount of dust in the house covering everything from the floorboards to the light fittings, to the curtains will leave any slight allergy sufferer suffocating. The major hot plate on the stove was broken, the fridge wasn't working properly. Serious additional heating would have been nice. The heaters in the bedrooms were seriously inadequate for the climate. No internal door off lounge to stop any heat from fireplace escaping especially above the 2 inch drafty gap at the top of the front door. The pine trees planted on the owners property opposite blocks any sunlight and warmth on the house and verandah making it cold and damp outside as well. Too much unnecessary furniture ie. old stove in kitchen. Too many dust collecting trinkets/teapots. Very little room to squeeze past. Chickens never laid an egg after day 1... Children were seriously disappointed at zero eggs each morning. The bed in the 2nd bedroom is propped up by an old brick. Investigating this problem I discovered an old sock and babies shoe smothered in dust! Previous guests obviously.. Excavation directly out the back by the owner was extremely irritating whilst my family and I were trying to relax. Not to mention the excess mud created by this mess. Accessing the paddock was also very dangerous. Farm animals were very friendly to a point then became noticeably aggressive if food was nearby. My son with a horse bite to his head can vouch for this. I said I would be brutally honest. I work in the industry of guest accommodation. This place is NOT RECOMMENDED. The owners are unfortunately in the wrong industry - they have no idea about guest/holiday accommodation. With new owners with guest accommodation experience - this could be a very lovely place.
