This enormous apartment is on the first floor of a ninety-year old character block of four, at the beach end of Curlewis St, adjacent to a number of cafes and bars and only a three minute walk from the sand of Bondi Beach.
The apartment has been totally transformed with a New York style contemporary renovation, which included the opening up of the internal space to let in more air and light, new kitchen and bathrooms and a sun deck. While retaining the charm that has delighted previous visitors, the renovation has brought comfort and convenience up to contemporary expectations.
The apartment has been furnished and decorated to simply yet elegantly capture the essence of informal beachside living. With soaring ceilings, wide staircases and grand proportions, it harks back to Bondi's stylish origins in the early 20th century.
There is a private entrance foyer at the side of the building. Behind the door is a wide staircase which winds up to arrive in the middle of the enormous open-plan living area. To the right is the kitchen which incorporates a dining table for eight and opens onto a tiled north facing sunroom. To the left is the living room, with two comfortable leather lounges.
There are three bedrooms. A long hallway comes off the lounge room. The first bedroom comes equipped with a king sized bed which can be split into two long singles which are comfortable for big people too. A third single (trundle) can be set up in this room if needed. The next room has a queen sized bed and the main bathroom is located adjacent. At the rear of the apartment facing onto the deck is the master bedroom with another queen bed, a lounge and its own ensuite bathroom. Access to the large entertaining deck with BBQ is through the third bedroom. Crisp linen is provided on all beds.
The main bathroom and ensuite are both small, functional and ultra modern. The ensuite also houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The interior of the apartment is spacious, modern and comfortable while retaining abundant character with eclectic furniture and an interesting array of items picked up by the owners on their travels. There is high-speed wireless internet, an enormous wide screen digital TV with blueray player, a stereo player with radio/CD/MP3, an amazing selection of design magazines and a choice of areas to sit and chat or lie around and read. The re-design of the apartment has maximised the living areas, which comfortably accommodate eight people.
If you want a break from Bondi's wide choice of cafes and restaurants, the kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and gigantic free standing gas/electric range with double oven. While there is no parking space provided, there is free on-street parking within 5 - 8 minutes walk of the apartment and metered on- street parking in front of the building
We accept any length of stay if it joins onto an existing booking. Stays of two nights or more may be accepted if they occur within a month of the request, otherwise the minimum length of stay is 5 nights.

Sydney Airport is a twenty minute drive away, with a taxi costing around $50 each way. The Sydney central business district is about twenty minutes by bus, with excellent shopping available in the nearby Bondi Junction.
