The Location
Cremorne Point is a peninsula of land located on the picturesque Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour, separating Shell Cove from Mosman Bay. It is one of the city?s most prestigious and convenient locations.

Renowned for its stunning views across the world?s most beautiful harbour. An eight minute scenic ferry ride has you at Circular Quay, the gateway to Sydney?s CBD. Directly opposite is the Opera House , Fort Denison and the Royal Botanic Gardens, with views stretching from the Harbour Bridge in the west, to Vaucluse in the east.

A perfect setting to view the fireworks displays from the harbour and bridge, as well as the Sydney to Hobart Yacht races.

Sit and watch the ferries, watercabs, sailing and speed boats sail by your front door. You will also see huge ocean liners and massive tankers making their way in and out of the harbour.

The Apartment

Walk up a couple of steps from the front lawn and you can enter the apartment through a private door into the dining and sitting rooms, which have stunning views of the Harbour including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. Dine at night with the city and harbour lights as your backdrop.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a block of seven. It occupies the whole width of the building and thus has no immediate neighbour.

It has its own private lawn bordering Cremorne Point Reserve. Beyond the Reserve is the harbour foreshore, with sensational uninterrupted views to the Opera House, CBD and the Harbour Bridge.

The Accommodation

A lovely spacious two bedroom apartment, with built in robes, which sleeps four comfortably, and provides expansive open plan living, with high ceilings enhanced by sandstone feature walls.

Main bedroom has a CD player.

Ultra modern equipped kitchen.

Stunning marble bathroom .

A 2nd half bathroom has washbasin and toilet. This room doubles as the laundry, with an automatic washing machine and a dryer.

There is a second large sitting room that opens off another entrance.

All linen and towels are supplied.

Just Outside

Just outside the apartment is Cremorne Point Reserve, which has one of the best scenic walks in the world. Take the footpath and head south-east.

After two minutes you will be at the MacCallum Pool, a 22 metre pool that overlooks the harbour. This is a popular swimming location that started out as a rock pool created by the local residents to form a safe harbour swimming hole. The pool dates back to the nineteen-twenties and has been restored in keeping with this heritage. The unique waterside timber deck is an unparalleled sunbathing spot.

Look back and admire the spectacular panoramic view of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. The Royal Botanic Gardens can also be seen adjacent to and to the east of the Opera House.

Continue along the foreshore walk for another five minutes and you are at the Cremorne Point Wharf. From here ferries run every half-hour to and from the city and round the point to Mosman Bay.

Another five minutes in the same direction will get you to the lighthouse on Robertson?s Point, the extreme end of Cremorne Point. The view of the harbour from here extends around three hundred degrees, a wonderful vantage point for watching the yacht races and all the life of the busy harbour.

Head along the eastern foreshore of Cremorne Point and time will be forgotten. There are too many things to look at: the shipyard; the boats at their moorings; the old houses;
the gardens; the whole of Mosman Bay.

Past the Rowers Club- or stop for a drink and meal- and you will see the boats at the marina and then Mosman Wharf. Have a coffee there and catch the ferry back!

Local Transport

Ferries run between Cremorne Point and Circular Quay every thirty minutes throughout the day and every forty-five minutes during the evening.

Circular Quay has a public transport hub that connects up the city?s trains, ferry and buses services.

Buses run from Cremorne Wharf , via Milson Road, to Neutral Bay Wharf, via the Military Road restaurant strip.

If you prefer to drive, the city?s system of motorways and tunnels link in a short distance from Cremorne Point.

Activities

Take in a movie at the beautiful restored Hayden Orpheum Picture Theatre at Cremorne, which for movie buffs regularly shows both older and house movies, as well as the latest releases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic property We recently stayed at the apartment for 10 days from just before new years into January. We had a fabulous time and Jenny the owner couldn't have been lovelier or more accomodating. The NYE fireworks were spectacular and highly visible from the apartment, we also watched the start of the big Yacht races the next day. We had family staying around the corner but without the view. So we made the apartment our base. The kids really enjoyed the pool just across from the house, and we had friends join us for a picnic on the foreshore on our last Sunday, which was just beautiful. The ferry leaves every half hour from the little jetty which is 5 min walk. If you don't have a car I suggest you do a big grocery shop in cremorne as there is no corner shop nearby. Buses go from right out back of the house, and take about 10 min to the nearest grocery store I highly recommend the property. In fact I have several friends that visited that want to stay there. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walking into this apartment was like walking into home, but with the breathtaking view of the Opera House and Harbour thrown in. Everything one would need is there. We decided to stay there so we could see the Navy's 100 year celebrations, the 40 warships and 11 tall ships as they entered the Harbour. We didn't miss a thing, it was right there in front of us. When it rained on the Thursday morning when the Tall ships arrived, we were hesitant to leave the apartment, not wanting to get wet. I took a bet with my companions that there would be an umbrella somewhere, and sure enough there was! Short walk to everywhere.

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed (except internet). The location on Cremorne Point was absolutely spectacular!! Views from the foreshore of the Opera House and Harbour Brige. Stunning. Thanks Jenny.

I woke each morning to the opera house being perfectly framed by the dome shaped sandstone window.My sister in law and I sipped wine on the grass in front, and from this vantage had a bonus view of Harbour Bridge.Very, very comfortable home. Very clean as well with a lovely bottle of most welcomed wine to greet us.Great local activity on the public walkway in front, with many family having picnics taking advantage of the daylight saving hours most days.Short walk to ferry and direct (no stops!!!) to Circular Quay. Perfect. Only suggestion I might have is for 2nd lounge, (which wasn't needed), to perhaps have a double sofa bed, as we would stay again with our husbands and a spare bed would be great for a child.Only downside was shopping was a pain, as we soon realised is the case everywhere in Sydney. No village style - one stop shopping options with parking in this city. All strip shops. How do the locals cope? The attractions of this amazing city are ample compensation though, and this apartment really helps you feel part of it all. Jenny is a thoughtful hostess as well. Just loved it.Jenny Rylance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We stayed in this very comfortable, spacious, superbly positioned apartment last year & it was like coming home. A stroll to the ferry along the foreshore, a coffee from the wharf cafe & you're at Circular Quay within minutes. The harbour is literally outside the front door; the views are breathtaking - the beauty mesmerizing from morning till night. Dining in is a visual delight with the twinkling ferries criss-crossing in front of the Opera House and the city forming the back-drop.
