Rated 5 out of 5 by from An apartment and location perfect for the holiday we planned for. I came to Sydney with the Navy as a port visit, with our salery we were all concerned about the high cost of vacation rentals. Then we found this location. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. It fit myself and 4 of my ship mates with much room to spare for stretching out. the location was top notch, right in the middle of double bay. This location was perfect for visiting all the local sights with a short walk or a quick jump on the train wich was only 2 blocks away. also there were many amenities in the imediate area including a grocery store 2 blocks away and a couple of nice pubs and resturants in double bay. We recomend the Golden Shief. all in all this affordable and well equiped location was perfect for our needs and recomended by myself and all my companions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a fantastic unit in a fantastic location. You are literally on the doorstep to the best that Sydney has to offer. Apart from the quality of the unit and the amazing location the defining feature for me was the customer service provided by the owners of the property. I am not all that familiar with Sydney but the owners took the time to give me a full run down on the unit and the local area. As a result my guests and I were completely comfortable in our surroundings and able to navigate Sydney easily. It was the time taken by the owners to go to this effort that resulted in my guests and I having our best Sydney experience to date. If I have a say in our next trip to Sydney we will definitely be staying here again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had a wonderful stay in Geoff and Karla's apartment, well appointed and with complimentary tea and tim tams. It was perfect for the whole family - mum, dad, our two year old, and grand parents - and large enough to feel like a home away from home. The location is great close to the Edgecliff train station and Double Bay ferry stop - and of course the cafes and restaurants in Double Bay. We had an enjoyable stay and can highly recommend the apartment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The apartment is very stylish and extrememly comfortable for six adults for a short stay. It has everything you might need (plenty of towels, haridryer, etc) and more, with the owners thoughtfully supplying milk, butter, marmalade, oil, spices and Tim Tams as well as a wide selection of tea and coffee. We really enjoyed the location which was a short stroll to shops, the beach, the train station and a very good pub! highly recommended! Jane

Nice beds, big cupboards, cable TV, lots of towels, wireless internet, even iPhone docks in the alarm radios.It's right near the glitzy little Double Bay shopping village, 5min walk from Edgecliff train station & bus stops, or just a short 5min taxi ride to the city.The owners were very helpful and friendly.Highly recommended.

We are deeply impressed by the generosity of owners including welcoming Tim Tam and 2 Litres Coke. The apartment is fully furnished with quality furnishing. It makes me feel like staying in Westin Hotel at a price of Travelodge...certainly value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We loved staying at this flat. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It was very well appointed with great cupboard storage in each bedroom; and we appreciated the little extras, such as the breakfast hamper and the well stocked supplies for the kitchen and bathroom. We loved the stacks of fluffy towels and the abundant coat hangers. We really felt very much at home.As we used the house to 'get ready' for a wedding we had several bride preparation photos taken in the unit as well! It was a great spot from which to get organised.Additionally, I highly recommend this unit for its ease of access to buses, trains and ferries. It was a quite location on the doorstep of the city.
