Disappointing Christmas Holiday
My family stayed over the Christmas period 23-30 Dec. It was cut short though due to the many short comings of the home
The house was filthy when we arrived, I spent the first day CLEANING THE ENTIRE HOME. the smell of must was rife through the home, trails of ants in the kitchen, grime all over the kitchen bench and stove. You were not able to see out of the sliding doors they were that filthy, luckily I brought my own cleaning products including windex! The deck was filled with old leaves i had to spend 20 minutes sweeping them off. The house may be fully screened but there were many HOLES in the fly screens. The floor was dirty and sticky, and your wife claimed to have vacuumed and mopped the floor but the floor doesnt count as clean when it was mopped by the most disgusting mop I had ever seen downstairs. The FOXTEL never worked. It either didnt have any signal at all or was CONSTANTLY dropping out. We were out on the boat and it started to rain, we came back to the home and the air con was gushing out water and the living room was flooded with water, we left the very next day which was hard to explain to our 3 and 5 year old.
Our stay at the River Cabin was the biggest disappointment and made even more so at the fact that we stayed over the Christmas period and it had to get cut short and by the lack of care by Pat and Lorraine. They were both constantly RUDE and ignorant, talked over us when we were trying to explain issues with the home. WE were the ones that were going through the issues if anyone were to be rude it should have been us.

We had a great long weekend. Didnt catch as many fish as we would have liked. But maybe that had something to do with the fact we had a few beers!! Beautiful and relaxing spot. A really nice getaway spot and easy people to deal with!!

The River Cabin is one of the best kept secrets an hour out of Sydney. Based on the edge of te Hawkesbury's spectacular waterfront; this is a very comfortable cabin, complete with everything one would need for a peaceful weekend away (or a great venue to party). There are three levels to the cabin with the bottom level serving as a separate, self-contained unit to the two level house above it. Plenty of room and space for couples and large groups. Surreal sunrises filled with gorgeous native wildlife, fishing to die for and lay back rides on the included tinny are all order of the day... SO GOOD!
