Laid back beach shack
We had a lovely girls weekend here. The location was fantastic, but I would not take small children here as it is directly on the water. It is a pleasant walk to everywhere. All the facilities were adequate and the decor fresh and tasteful, but it is pretty simple, which was what we were looking for. The owners easy to deal with and directions clear. We stayed in winter so didnt use all the water toys or the boat house. There is reverse cycle air, so we were warm. Kitchen is pretty basic, but it is a beach shack... get fish and chips from down the road!

Gorgeous beach house
We enjoyed a wonderful girls weekend here. It slept 7 of us very comfortably and while the weather wasn't great, inside we were warm and cosy. The outlook is amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

To stay at Waratah Beach House, Palm Beach is to stay on the water - literally. If the sea was any closer you would have to grow fins. We swam right from the deck, out into the crystal-clear beauty of Pittwater. We fished from the beach and sipped cocktais on the terrace as the sun set over the western foreshores. To say this breathtaking location is paradise is a gross understatement.
The accommodation is well appointed but don't expect lots of lux. The charming fisherman's shack is small and the kitchen is dated, but that only adds to the
charm of immersing yourself in the beauty and spirituality of Pittwater. Plenty of water toys are stored in the garage for the use of guests and it is just a ten minute walk to the surf beach. A funky surf shack style cafe/bar is at the end of the
street and a stroll along the beach at low tide will deliver you to the uber cool Beach House Restaurant (great coffee too).
The whole experience of Waratah, is highly recommended. In my opinion, the cottage is best suited to a couple or a young family.

Great location, house was lovely and bright in a private spot, and damp weather didn't bother us at all. Caught the ferry to Cottage Point Inn for lunch and had a good breakfast at the nearby Boatshed.
