Where is Frisco Apartments?
Perhaps Frisco Apartments' greatest asset is its location surrounded by the CBD and the Queen Street Mall, Chinatown and trendy Spring Hill. Just off Turbot Street on the fringe of the CBD. A quick 20-minute taxi ride from Brisbane Airport or a 5-minute walk from Central Railway Station.
Frisco Apartments is easily accessible from either Turbot Street (one-way travelling North East) or St Paul's Terrace (if travelling South West from the airport). Both are major thoroughfares that run right through the centre of the city's central business district.
BY CAR FROM THE PACIFIC MOTORWAY OR SOUTHEAST FREEWAY: Take the Turbot Street turn off. Drive up Turbot Street, which is a one-way street, in the left-hand lane. Pass the Sofitel Hotel and straight across Wharf Street, turn left into Bowen Street and then immediately turn left into the first driveway - you will be turning into Frisco Apartments' Visitor Parking area.
BY TRAIN: From Brisbane's Central Station walk the 300 metres on the left down Turbot Street toward Chinatown, in the same direction as the traffic (Turbot Street is one-way). Once past Wharf Street you will find Bowen Street on the left.
FROM BRISBANE AIRPORT: A 14kms (approx. $45) Taxi ride will take no more than 25 minutes, even allowing for some traffic. Or, $16 per person by train from both the International and Domestic terminals to Central Station.
Please note: Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 2 large suitcases); Station wagon Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 4 large suitcases); Maxi Taxis (Mitsubishi or Torago type people-movers) take 8 - 10 passengers, the surcharge is $12 per trip and generally these need to be booked in advance. (Otherwise wait in the taxi rank till one turns up!)
BRISBANE AIRPORT TRANSFER SERVICE: Another option is to contact Ozscott Limousines for airport transfers and have a limo and uniformed chauffeur meet you off your flight, then transport you in a Ford Fairlane or Holden Caprice limo for approx $55 - for up to four passengers.
