Where is Republic Apartments?

Perhaps Republic Apartments' greatest asset is its location surrounded by the CBD and the Queen Street Mall, Chinatown, trendy Spring Hill and the Brisbane River. A quick 25-minute taxi ride from Brisbane Airport or a few minutes walk from Central Railway Station.

Republic Apartments is easily accessable from either Turbot Street (one-way travelling North East) or Ann Street (one-way travelling South West). Both are major thoroughfares that run right through the centre of the city's central business district.

BY CAR FROM THE PACIFIC MOTORWAY OR SOUTHEAST FREEWAY: Take the Turbot Street turn off. Drive up Turbot Street, which is a one-way street, in the right-hand lane. Pass the Sofitel Hotel and straight across Wharf Street, turn right into Raff Street and then immediately turn left into the first driveway - you will be turning into the Republic Apartments' Visitor Parking area. Buzz the office and you will be let into the Visitor Bay area. If a bay is not available then the Loading Bay in the same area should be free, to park temporarily while you check-in. Please note that you will need to walk around to the main entrance, at the front of the building, in Turbot Street.

BY TRAIN: From Brisbane's Central Station walk the 300 metres down Turbot Street toward Chinatown, in the same direction as the traffic (Turbot Street is one-way). We are on the right just past the Sofitel Hotel and Wharf Street.

FROM BRISBANE AIRPORT: A 14kms (approx. $45) Taxi ride will take no more than 25 minutes, even allowing for some traffic. Or, $16 per person by train from the airport to Central Rail Station. Please note: Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 2 large suitcases); Station wagon Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 4 large suitcases); Maxi Taxis (Mitsubishi or Torago type people-movers) take up to 10 passengers, the surcharge is $12 per trip and generally need to be booked well in advance.
