Lone Pine Lodgings is located in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove 10 minutes by car from Brisbane's CBD or 20 minutes by bus located just outside the door. This beautiful fully self contained apartment is tastefully decorated with original art works ( not painted by the owner so they are actually beautiful) hanging on either the crisp white walls of the bedrooms or the simple timber panelled feature wall of the lounge room.

Comprising a full sized master bedroom with queen size bed and a second bedroom with both a double and a single bed. Large wardrobes with hanging space and shelves in both rooms have plenty of space for either a short or long term stay.

The couch sits in front of a TV that has Foxtel Platinum available providing both movies and music with seating for 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with European oven and gas cook top along with a microwave and family size fridge with a full size dining table for both you and any visitors you may decide to entertain during your stay. The bathroom is made up of three rooms, a large walk-in shower room, separate toilet and a room with twin bowl bathroom vanity.

We welcome pets by agreement and there is a fully fenced section of the garden available for your exclusive use and where your pets can be safely contained. If they are getting along with our animals then the gate can be left open as you choose.

Facilities for kids include a foldaway bed, portacot and a high chair all available by arrangement. There is a swing set, chickens to discover and the garden is fully fenced and secure - its a very kid-friendly environment. Please feel free to chat about any specific requirements - we're happy to help.

If things are going to be busy for you or you?d just like that extra bit of relaxation and time off from normal life, we offer breakfast baskets and evening meals by arrangement. The 'Man of the house' was a chef in a former life so we are happy to chat with you about what you would like.

The apartment is part of our family home, a renovated 1940's Queenslander that was the original homestead when the area was just rolling hills filled with dairy cattle. Perched on the top of a hill the afternoon breezes are wonderful in what is now one of Brisbane's most sought after areas for real estate.

As the apartment is fully self contained but part of a family home please be aware that the laughter of 5 year old twins may pervade the air during the day; along with a occasional bark from Beni the family dog (a small cavoodle). Our tree- shrouded garden is also home to 4 chickens and if you take up a seat in our family hammock are a truly calming thing to behold as they wander around the yard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, convenient and pet-friendly Lone Pine Lodgings was just as pictured, easy to get to, plenty of room to park off-street, and big secure dog (and child) friendly yards; inside, well appointed and with comfy beds. Hosts Kate and Garrett were lovely, and the "home restaurant" meal was delicious. We hope to be back for more next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent property We enjoyed our stay 3-5 May 2014. WOW were the first words I said when I saw our accommodation. Large, newly renovated downstairs section of old Queenslander. Easily take 5 guests. Off street parking. Our dog had a large well fenced yard to herself and was lovingly cared for when we were absent for the day. Full kitchen and washing facilities. Shower was wheel chair accessible Location ideal for our needs. The hosts were very friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I stayed here with my 15 yr old son whilst he did some work experience at Enoggera Barracks. This place was a great surprise. It's a modern 2 bedroom apartment in a nice setting really close to the city. There was very little road noise, the place was well appointed, clean, new and everything worked (I can't say the same about a lot of big hotels). Whilst my son was away during the day, I was working on a Uni assignment and it was pretty much perfect for that. Quiet, a bit of sun through some largish windows....nice.One evening there was a bit of noise from the owners upstairs, but they apologised for that and I think there were exceptional circumstances - it is a wooden floor Queenslander upstairs so there you go.I loved the huge shower area! Foxtel and the lounge was quite comfortable. Dollar for dollar, this is worth a serious look.We even joined the host family for a really nice dinner one night. Cost for that was as much as we would have spent on junk food.Enjoy!

Kate made the booking process easy and was very helpful whenever we had any questions whilst staying. The renovations were tastefully done and the bed was very comfortable. We would certainly look at staying there when we visit Brisbane again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I thoroughly recommend this property. It is clean, spacious, and great value; especially for a family. It is just a short drive into the city, and the hosts a very welcoming. As a family with three children, we couldn't have asked for better accomodation so close to the city.
