Tropical Far North Queensland

We are three and half hours door to door from Sydney to Clifton Beach, 25 minutes from the International Airport at Cairns to the best of the Northern Beaches. Beachfront reserve 7m from door to sand, 12m to the water. From our front deck you drink in the best views in Palm Cove: Scout Hat and Double Islands. Between you and the beach is a lone giant Melaleucca (one of the features of the area) and some Palm trees.

Gaze at the mountain view on the rear deck, stroll through the fully open back pavilion along the 16 metre deck, through the front pavilion to the front deck for a view of the Islands and the water. After drinks on the front deck and slipping into the privacy of your own pool off the central deck, have a tropical evening BBQ on the SSteel BBQ, North Queenslands most artistic outdoor kitchen. Dine on the deck, alfresco under the huge shade sail.

Turn all the lights out and take a late night dip in the pool to fully appreciate the luminous feature tiles.

There are fans and air-conditioning, but you wont need them, the sea breeze cools you and takes away any humidity.

In the morning enjoy a coffee with our Nesspresso De Longhi coffee machine, if you are lucky you might see the dolphins playing beyond the waves from the beach, if you are really lucky in March you might see a croc!

Its tropical, its very quiet, discreet and secluded and its luxurious. But, its everything Far North Queensland: Beautiful sand, no surf, never ever cooler than 24C even in the dead of winter! Crocodiles, box jellyfish, coral reefs, lush tropics, sun and water.

You will never want to leave Onda: Our Coral Sea Beach Home.

Walk 400m up the beach or along the concrete path, to bustling Palm Cove: international resorts for shopping and restaurants. A 10 minute walk around the corner takes you to Clifton Beach shopping mall with a large Coles, fresh food, butcher, doctor, chemist and several restaurants, dine in and take away.

Reef tours leave from the Pier at Palm Cove.

Nearby dining is found at Clifton Bar & Grill at 14 Clifton Road or 59 Restaurant & Bar in Clifton Beach with Sensational panoramic views overlooking the 9th and 18th greens at Paradise Palms Gold Course International standard golf course rated 10th in Australia with an A la Carte, Restaurant, and closer still the Cairns Zoo and night Zoo.

Thirty Five Minutes north on the Highway is Port Douglas. or drive 10 minutes south to Tjapukai, Skyrail or Go Carting. Ten minutes further to Freshwater you can take the Scenic Rwy to Kuranda, or continue down to Cairns for shopping and the night markets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect property !Onda had everything we needed, was clean, well maintained, in the ideal position and suited our party makeup perfectly. In comparison with other similarly priced properties we have booked in the area - Onda comes out on top. We had a lovely stay and will keep Onda in our 'future holiday location' list!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We stayed in the one bed beach house and it was beautiful. It was so lovely that you get exclusive use of the pool and grounds without having to pay for the full house-very thoughtful! We barely left the house and ate in most of the time as we didn't want to leave and we normally eat out a lot on holiday! It's right on the beach at the end of a super quiet road that leads only to the beach so you don't get lots of cars going past, just the occasional walker. It's a lovely walk up to palm cove on the beach. The place is great for couples and we had a really romantic , relaxing time and left feelimg so re-charged but I could also imagine a big group of you in both properties having a really fun time.warren the property manager was also very helpful and can help organise cheap/exclusive airport transfers so you don't have to share the bus with others and can work to your own schedules instead of waiting round for others ! Thanks, we will definitely return!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had the most lovely time staying at Onda Beach House. What a beautiful place and the location is perfect and so nice and quiet, we could have stayed forever. We have recommended it to so many people. When we come back to Cairns we will definitely stay there again. We were thinking that you should get a guest book, it is nice to read what people say but there was none or we would have written in it. But we will be back for sure. Thanks for the great holiday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay was excellent. Your property is beautiful and met our every need. Wewill certainly look to stay again. Really liked the quality of the place and little things like internet access and a printer to print off our boardingpass. The location is also great. So glad we stayed here and not Cairns. Onevery minor item......blinds on the small bedroom windows would be perfect to keep that early morning light out.Nonetheless, 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful house with absolutely everything you need for a perfect tropical holiday - great pool, tasteful furnishings, super clean, 2 minutes (if that) to quiet local beach with easy 15 minute walk along coast to Palm Cove or 30 minute drive to Cairns. Everything has been thought of for self catering with a handy Coles nearby. I have 2 young children so the main house was perfect, but the smaller would also be wonderful for couples. The owners also provided some wonderful ideas for local attractions. I am very picky with accommodation, but there is nothing to fault here. I did have reservations in sharing this little gem, wanting to keep it to myself, but the effort put into this place deserves all the praise it can get. You will not be disappointed.
