Must do/see

Burleigh Beach

Walk to Burleigh Headland for spectacular views north to Surfers Paradise. Burleigh Head National Park follows the coastline and offers a pleasant 1.2km coastal track with views or a 2.8km ocean view circuit. Established pine trees and pandanus palms frame Burleigh beach. Shell middens are still visible on the southern side of the headland where Aboriginal tribes once feasted. One of the first coastal settlements in the area, Burleigh is known in the surfing community for its Burleigh Barrel waves and popular surf tournaments.
